The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset
question
Compare and Contrast two books

The two books I will compare are Catching Fire and Mockingjay, both books are from the Hunger Games series, which might make this Compare and Contrast discussion a little bit more interesting.
In Catching Fire, Katniss had just won the 74th Hunger Games, the first person from district twelve to do so in a long time. While on her victory tour with Peeta, she realizes that a rebellion has risen, and she seems to be their symbol of hope, for going against the capitol in the games. This book is an emotional roller coaster that we call Katniss' life. She has to pretend to love Peeta for President Snow, when she really loves Gale (Who kinda sucks in my opinion). Katniss and Peeta are re-entered in the 75th Hunger Games, the Quarter Quell, which only previous Victors are allowed to participate. Snow is trying to get her killed, and she doesn't like that one bit.
In Mockingjay, all of the survivors of the District twelve bombing have been moved to the secret District thirteen underground facility. The whole world thought District thirteen had been killed of, but they were far from right. District thirteen has a big plan, to take over all of the districts, then use them to attack the Capitol. Katniss will become the Mockingjay the rebels want her to be, but she needs to train, and even though Peeta has been taken by the Capitol, and Finnick ant Beetee are not what they used to be after the events of the quarter quell, they need to work hard to stop the Peacekeepers and save Panem from Snow, the biggest Tyrant of all.
Catching fire was more of an emotion/details book, while Mockingjay was more of a transformation book. In Catching fire, the only real action was in the quarter quell, which was near three quarters in. Mockingjay was spread out with action, it was more balanced. The ending of Catching fire left much to be desired, while the ending of Mockingjay tied up all loose ends.

Catching fire is my favourite of the trilogy. I think it has the most twists and turns in it, and i liked mockingjay the least, because it had some boring parts about a lot of war describing, and it was just all too dark and sad with prim dieing and gale sort of being the fault for it and peeta not remmebering katniss... and cathcing fire is the only book were peeta and katniss both truly love each other. In the first book katniss doesn't love peeta, and peeta only loves her in the end of the third book.
