What is it exactly that's frustrating about Nikki?

Martine I'm about halfway through Complete Me right now, and Nikki kind of gets on my nerves... Thing is, I can't really quite put the finger on what it is exactly that's bothering me!

Has anyone else had a similar feeling?

Kelle NO! Out of all the other women (Ana, Eve, & Ava) I liked her the best. I didn't feel like she 'needed' him to survive. She could stand her ground and on her own. They are my FAVORITE COUPLE, to me they fit like puzzle pieces. They were so intune with each other and he was NOT as OTT as the other men. Now, this seies made me cry when it was over.

Angie Elle Nikki got on my nerves in the last two books, too. I felt like her character grew in the first book, but in the last one, it was like she took three steps back.

Yes, I felt that way too... Like Kelle said, in the first book I thought they did fit like puzzle pieces. But in the second book she became annoying to me, and I still don't know why! This said, I thought the third book was good, but I was glad it was over. Nice ending though.

Ilana i think that this was a case of needing a back story to make her into the type of woman that would be appropriate in this story, and then following through with who she was now. i think that there was actually a decent job done here, although i do agree that there were times that i wasn't uber pleased with her. I think that's something that i've found with a majority of the characters in these types of books though - i don't think that there's even just one that's been truly standout as never grating on my nerves at any point, but that's just part of a trilogy right? that you're investing so much time with these characters, that they are bound to let you down.

You're right! The women in those novels sometimes get on my nerves, but never the men lol. Maybe it's fictional jealousy?! I felt it more with Nikky though... and the fact that she was struggling with important issues made her too vulnerable for me maybe? I think I like stronger female characters, like Eva from the Crossfire series.

Luanna I agree. Eva from Crossfire is my favorite female character. I liked Nikki more in the first book and felt in Book 3 she was seeking out problems when there weren't any necessarily. However, the author needs a drama vehicle. I'm not a huge Five Shades fan. I agree with Martine's message a lot.

Cynthia If Nikki continues to eat and drink as much as she does, she will end-up an alcoholic fat woman!
