Rosemary Kind (rosemaryjkind) | 14 comments I have twice asked if I can be made a librarian (following the procedure required) but with no reply. I am a publisher and it would be the easiest way to add our books and make amendments as necessary. Can anyone help, please?

The support mob are the ONLY people who are able to make librarians. It is likely that no more are needed at this time.

Rosemary Kind (rosemaryjkind) | 14 comments I have over 20 books to add - compiling the information for someone else will take longer than simply uploading it all myself. How can I contact the support people in a way they will reply?

Dee (austhokie) | 897 comments you can email support@goodreads.com - but if they don't need librarians right now, you may not get it

You can add books without being a librarian.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments Any user can add books. The two easiest ways are:

1. Search by ISBN, if not found use this link to add the missing title or edition. (Many books are added automatically by various feeds, so this helps you not to waste time on adding boos already on the system).

2. Find another edition of the title you wish to add, then click Add another Edition, which fills in the title and (first) author for you.

Please note, the "combine" function is NOT automatic, so you will still need to post here to notify Librarians to combine the new books with existing versions.

Rosemary Kind (rosemaryjkind) | 14 comments thanks - that is helpful. What I can't do is update where the author has added partial information. I will add them with full detail and then see if they can be combined - thank you.

Don't duplicate a book. If the author has only added part info then post the missing info here as a problem (which it is) to be fixed.
