I started this several years ago, just before the movie came out. I got about halfway through, then took my mom to see the movie. I was so upset I didn't finish it and I've never picked up another Nicholas Sparks book again. My mom and several of my friends love him though. Do you know that there's a group here on GR for fans of Nicholas Sparks? You might want to check it out.

I've read three novels with these kind of endings wherein the main characters end up being alone but they accepted it.Another Woman
Lessons in Heartbreak
and this one from Sparks.
yeah. They could have brought up a better one but that wouldn't make them as unique as they are. :)As I come to think of it. People are so lucky especially readers because there are people - authors-who have very wide imaginations and perseverance to write and finish a book. I so admire them!

It was heartbreaking but I prefer to read these kinds of books because they open up my mind to reality- to how hard it is to be heartbroken though life is essential that all you can do at times is to accept and surivie and continue with your life. It was a great novel.
Have you read it? What do you think of it?
