SOLVED. A Boy makes a wish, a Dragon sleeps Underground [s]

I've been desperately trying to remember the name of these books. I read them probably about 10 years ago.

It's about a boy from a typical fantasy world who makes a wish, a girl (Karen?) from another place arrives in a plane crash (I think). There is a Dragon that sleeps underground. In the course of the book it wakes up and the girl and the boy manage to get it back into it's cave. but it's the wrong way round.

In the Sequel it starts with the girls sister, who remembers Karen, but everyone else is forgetting her. The 2 sisters turn out to be the same person, and also the Dragon I think.

I think the storyline probably makes more sense in full, sorry, it's all I can remember.

Haha, it was a pretty good one. I'll keep looking, perhaps I'll just get samples of every Dragon story I can find till I do.
