Weirdness on goodreads app

So I mainly use my tablet for goodreads, and I always open the "unread" topic to see what new comments have appeared since I last checked, and suddenly I'm getting a bunch of old topics popping up that have -1 (negative or minus 1) new comments, as in someone deleted a comment.

Do you think someone is going through and deleteing their own stuff, or goodreads staff is doing it? Because even when someone deletes their account the old comments used to show up as from "deleted user" so now I'm wondering what's going on.

I honestly have no idea, that's pretty weird. I'll go ahead and leave a comment here so it stays up and so I can read the answer when you get one, though. That's very odd.

It could just be someone going through and deleting their stuff, yeah. But I use my tablet's app as well and don't ever see that. Very interesting.

I deleted a bunch of old comments over a month ago. It would be weird if they were just showing up now, though. Weird that it shows up at all. The goodreads app is awful. I use it, but it's garbage.

The app is awful, I use it when I'm on the road for work, but not at home. Sometimes parts of comments don't show up (usually just a word or two) and oftentimes the back button doesn't show up. And the one feature I miss the most is that even though you see the number of new comments in a thread, you can't just go to the new comments. That means that on threads with 100+ comments, chances are I won't click on and see the new comments.

I've experienced similar issues using the app. At this point, I use the web browser on my tablet for GR instead of the app.

I had hoped Amazon taking over might have improved it, but alas. :/
