10. Read a book from our Group's shelf or if you joined the Pick-It-For-Me Challenge, your recommended book. ARGH! I had so much trouble with this category last time. I don't join the Pick-It-For-Me as I don't read PNR so can't recommend it to others. And 80% or more of the books on the group's bookshelves is also PNR.
Pick-It-For-Me is not all about PNR, anything goes. But I can see how you might have a problem.... A clue? How about add a book to the group bookshelf and then read it? That should work.

A few months ago, I would say that is a pretty correct assessment of our group's shelf.
But I've perused it lately, and it is actually developing into a fun mix of plenty of things, not necessarily all PNR. Give it a try and you might discover something new.
On the other hand, this is a call to all members who have read books for our different challenges, don't forget to add them to our shelf, so we can get a more varied selection.
;D Help! I'm looking for a good western themed book. I don't much care if it's historical, contemporary or paranormal, but I would prefer M-F romance with a lot of chemistry going on.Briansgirl - if you don't mind I would recommend Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie for you ;) It's a parody of mob family with a cooking twist.
I have a western shelf, you might get some ideas there... http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/... The one I would strongly recommend is: Lonesome Dove hell of a book!

Would A Wish a Kiss a Dream work for the Cowboy one? It has Cowboy and the Thief by Lora Leigh in it.
Sure, after all the full title is: A Wish a Kiss a Dream (Includes: Cowboys and Captives, #2) - I see no problem there.

Errr... Fine? Thanks for asking, I'm reading way too much this month, while I should be working on my German. Naughty me.How have you been?

Have you found any really good books this month? I'm not too bad, my little one is crawling now so I don't get to read as much. Too much time spent chasing him round the house!
Funny! I can so picture him crawling away and getting into troubles. Kids. This month the best and most fun reads for me would be Ender's Game and the Uglies series. The Reader was incredibly good as well, but that was a much more serious book.
For a western I'm going with a traditional Louis L'Amour novel. I started a collection of them when the library sale had them for 50 cents each. I started out reading the John Wayne westerns based on his books. For this challenge, I'm going to read Crossfire Trail. When I finish it, I'll reward myself with the Tom Selleck movie based on the novel. For June I'm doing something similiar. I'm reading Under the Tuscan Sun from a bday girl's shelves and when I finish I'll reward myself with the Diane Lane movie based on the book.
Kasia wrote: "I'm planning on reading L'Amour as well. I'm a L'Amour virgin, so we'll see."I've only read a few so far, based on movies I've seen. The few I've read are good but definetly old school western. Conagher is good and was made into a movie with Sam Elliot. Hondo was made into a John Wayne movie.
7. Culinary theme??? Tempting Adam by Shelli Stevens??? Would this work? Adam owns an apple cider business.
4. Summer Heat Theme: Read a book that has one of the following words in its title (Summer, Heat, Hot, Scorching, Fire, Sizzle, Flame, Burn, etc) or has a Hot Summer theme cover. OKay, getting desperate here. lol Would the cover of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows fit the summer theme? The cover is mostly the color of fire, fitting a hot summer theme cover??! (I couldn't find it on the groups bookshelves for category #10.)
It's been 5 days, since no-one contests it, lol, I'm going to go ahead and use it. The orange cover always bugged me as it looked like fire. Didn't seem to fit the rest of the series.
