So I read the first book and it didn't get too bad, but I was wondering if this book is really inappropriate. And I don't care about cursing or anything like that. What I'm really asking about is sex

There isn't any explicit smut scenes, if that is what you're inquiring. The second book definitely has a little more... heat - for lack of a better word - since the sexual tension between Kai & Anna has been building up, especially after the first book, but (view spoiler)Most Young Adult novels these days do have some skeezy scenes, so it's to be expected.
I hope this answers your question.
The second book has less sex scenes than the first. I can't tell you why cuz it would ruin the plot but it does.

I was practically mentally begging for a good smut scene because the author flowed really well with all the heated scenes.
