You mentioned Van Helsing...I could never get passed the scene where the coach is charging along the road that hugs a cliff...with a forest on the other side. I always wonder who laid out the road. I mean it's not on the side of a mountain, they could have just cut a few trees farther from the edge of the cliff...

This is the first I'm hearing about The Musketeers. We won't have it 'til "the spring", apparently, but I'll be watching it.

My old college crush teacher'll probably hate it, though. He hates anything Musketeers that doesn't follow the book. I'm surprised his brain didn't explode when he watched the latest movie version - though, honestly, I'm not sure why he even bothered.

Musketeers last night....loved it!

For me this was perfect Sunday night fare. Plenty of swashbuckling action, with the right amount of humour and tension mixed it. Yes, it's the same story that we've seen before (with a few changes) but that doesn't really matter to me as long as I'm having fun.

Can't wait for next week!

So, I started watching Supernatural on Netflix. It was meant to be my show to watch when Jer was doing other stuff and I didn't feel like reading...

But he ended up watching a few episodes with me, and now he's into it, too.

We're just a bit into Season 3 now...

And it's cool and all - but now I need a new "me" show! I'm thinking maybe Merlin.

As I watched the season finale of Downton Abby last night, many people were watching The Walking Dead. I just don't get TWD..... (I am also not a fan of horror.)

I loved the first season of TWD. Now it just makes me angry. When you start cheering for the zombies and start hoping for the humans to die its time to find a new show.

I do use Google Chrome. This is the best Browser. Your Apples are too complex for me, as, even though I'm only 13, I've been raised on Microsoft Windows( Copyright Microsoft). I've done a lot of things on Windows, but Mac's I can't understand. The only time I used a Mac was 4th grade, and I HATED it! The only Apple products I can stand are iPad's, iPhone's, and iPod's. Plus, Apple Mac's Don't suit my gaming needs. With me, it is NOT a computer if you can't run Steam, the base of ALL things video-game related. Hell, a Mac can't even run a simple game by the name of MINECRAFT (Copyright Mojang). If it can't run that, then will it be able to run Civ. 5 and Portal 2? I'll stick to my Windows 7 and Windows 8 thank you. And, Mac's don't have a touch-screen worth crap! I couldn't use a touch-screen Mac to save my life!!!!!!

Heh...my home computer is trying so hard to die. It's been a good machine, running XP since 2006, but it's getting close to giving up the ghost.

Thing is, I HATE Windows 8. I'm hoping like hell it will survive until something replaces that crap. How this all ties in is that I've even considered going Apple rather than using 8.0.

Windows 8 is terrible. There's a program called Start8 you can download that makes it act more like an earlier version of Windows. It's still hard to find things, though.

I never got into the Walking Dead, but I hear about it at work a lot. I get the usual "I'm surprised you're not into it" thing (which I seem to get about every sci-fi/horror/fantasy thing ever, including "I'm surprised you're not into Twilight since you like vampires", but anyway... ) - but I'm not big into the zombie thing. Not that I don't enjoy a good romp now and again, but "zombies" is not enough of a reason for me to try something...

But, anyway, I remember a conversation that went something like:

Coworker: Do you watch the Walking Dead?

Me: Nope, I'm not really into zombies much.

Coworker: It's not really about the zombies, though. It's more about this group of people struggling to survive together and their interpersonal relationships and stuff. The zombies are more external.

Me: Annnnd now I'm even less interested in watching it. Thanks. ;)

Windows 8 is the only computer system that can run Steam worth crap. Plus, I'm the master @ it, so it doesn't matter!!!

If your computer doesn't make it to the Windows reboot, you can check to see if there are anymore Win7's left. That's what I bought after my co-worker got Win8.

Windows 8 if you have a Toshiba, b-horror. I have a Toshiba Windows 8 and that's what I use to play video-games and watch movies. Try Minecraft, or Terraria. Those are the games I play most, but I also play COD GHOSTS.

Those aren't my type. I mostly prefer RPGs (Diablo, Torchlight, etc) and city builders (Caesar, Cleopatra, etc).

Though it depends on specs, I've found my Win7 computer to work great with Steam. No lag at all. Graphics are outstanding as well.

But I also have a banging graphics card.

DK: Like I said, I’m not going to claim I knew the minute detail. Season three is five years later. We find Jonesy—he survived his gunshot wound and is pitching for a professional baseball team. His wife [Libby] is a typical baseball wife back in ’39. The carnival is completely split up; everybody’s gone their separate ways. The only vestige of the carnival as it was is Ben and Samson, and they’re working at another carnival, still on Management’s trail.

Then on the Brother Justin side, we find he’s become this incredibly politically influential radio preacher. And there’s Iris and Sofie, and they’re both in this fight. He’s a shell, almost, and these two women are in a power struggle over who’s controlling Brother Justin. Sofie is Brother Justin’s wife. Of course, she’s his daughter, but he doesn’t know that. She knows that. She could bring him down pretty easily, but she’s afraid of herself now, too.

Then we introduce, in the very first episode, you see this 4-year-old kid come running up and hugging Brother Justin, saying “Daddy.” Is this Brother Justin’s child, or is this Ben’s child, because they both had relations with Sofie? That would kind of tee us off to the second one. That would take us through the war. And then the first half of that would be, “Avengers assemble,” winds of war calling them together, gotta get this group back together again. Ben’s like, “This isn’t just about me. This is about us.” And pulling everybody out of their lives and answering this call, and moving into going to Europe to try to acquire these documents or… I knew they were going to be talismans. What they’re going to need when they’re engaged in this war. Then there’d be a confrontation of some sort at the end of season four.

Then taking us to the end, it’s all about the [atomic] bomb. It’s all about the Manhattan Project and worrying about it, finding out what it is. The Germans have a competing project, and trying to stop it. Trying to stop the bomb from happening, because in Ben’s mind, detonation of the atom bomb is the end of the world. What he doesn’t realize is that it’s just the end of his world. To him, it’s an end to Avatars; it’s an end to everything. But he’s misinterpreted it. He’s interpreted it as the end of the world. He thinks he’s saving the world, but what he learns before the end is that, “I have to let this happen, because if I don’t let this happen, mankind will remain in a state of adolescence.” He learns that’s really why Sofie is called the Omega. She is the only female, the last Avatar. What it’s all leading up to is two Avatars, she and Ben having this child. They actually have to sacrifice this child in the blast. That was my crazy notion.

I watched the first season of Alcatraz, which I loved. Then it was dropped. Left on a massive cliff hanger.
Sucks. Was such a bizarre concept.

Firefly!

Firefly was such an awesomely fun show and Fox did it absolutely no justice at all; they under advertised it, showed it out of order and put it in a stupid time slot. The show could have gone far.

Yeah I side stepped mentioning Firefly (as I have said a lot before). It's the classic. FOX preempted them every other week and never backed the show. It never had a chance to find it's audience (which it found after the fact). I think the executives just didn't understand it so they they thought no one else would. They pretty much killed the show.
