I think that the ending was realistic, in books they don't kill off people's fav characters cause they don't want to, life doesn't work like that. Al was my fav character then he died, Will was my fav character then he died, Lynn was my fav character then she died, uri was my all time fav character then he died, it's a more realistic approach to a book - that people die in life people die in a book, it was heart reaching, but amazing. The hunger games are like my fav books eva, except for divergent if course, but when hey killed the character I cared about (won't mention any names) they didn't give that character a good send off, but Veronica Roth made all the deaths admirable, and that's why I love the book so much!!!!!

Plus, I hate happy endings cause they don't always happen, so this was an amazing send off to an amazing character and an amazing trilogy
This book was amazing :) I was sad that Tris died but I respect Veronica Roth's choice. I'm so glad they're making this book series into a movie!
This book was so amazing! I agree with almost all of you on what you said! Well said tris!
Ugh this book was awful. Poorly executed ending, illogical science, destruction of an amazing character like Tobias, senseless deus ex machina moments, disastrous dual POV etc.....I can go on. Allegiant on the whole was a disaster. Sucked like rotten eggs.

warning spoilers-i really liked it i know a lot of people were disappointed with the ending and i was extremely sad about tris dying. but she did die a very heroic death and i think it showed a really good side to her so even though i was extremely disappointed i was happy with the book.
MUST READ: DO NOT IGNOREVeronica Roth actually made an official Alternate Ending. It's available for purchase on iTunes when searched "Allegiant Alternate Ending". It's free too! But sadly it is only for iPads, I haven't read it yet because I don't have an iPad but I suggest buying it anyway. Thank goodness we got another ending!

I don't think Veronica would write an alternate ending anyways. By writing an ending that ISNT hers that's just giving in to the haters, which is not like her.

All the talking about an alternative ending is just mind blowing. I mean Veronica herself decided on ending the trilogy that way so just accept it guys
Yeah she can't please everyone she made a bold move and I applaud her for that because this was the first book I have saw that killed off the main character and it was very unique and an interesting concept
I swear I just searched it on iTunes, I was LOOKING AT IT while I was typing. I have no idea why it wouldn't show up.

@Jade no it's not by Veronica Roth. You take another look. @Belinda YES!! Same here. I loved the book no matter how sad it was. It was beautiful, amazing, and something I will always remember. Ending actually satisfied me, I was pleased.
It may not be BY Veronica Roth, but it does have her name ON it. It says "Katherine Murphy & Veronica Roth". AND AND
Yah the only reason she put Veronica Roth was to give credit for writing allegiant. (Aka plot, characters, ect.) not that she wrote it.
Then Veronica Roth would have to have approved the publishing of it.
I liked the book but I hated the ending.
I heard horrible reviews. I love divergent and insurgent and I'm afraid that I will hate the whole series if i read this book that sounds depressing
I would read it if I were u because it is truly a thought provoking and symbolic read.

The two POVs threw me off and Tris and Tobias are so similar that I sometimes forgot who I was reading from. Also... That ending:( it was my least favorite of the three but it was still a semi-satisfying end.
I just finished the book and I am so surprised. I can't believe the main character died, what kind of book ends like that!!! I even CRIED at the end of the book. I have a feeling that Tobias and Christina will get married. Although Tris died, the book was still good.

I read the book again and can't help remembering how miserable I was the first time.Just finished it 20min ago and cried like a baby obviously. But I also started to see the worth of tris sacrificing herself.
I was a beautiful book especially s at the end when Tobias went on the zip line.
One thing I don't understand is out of all the people that didn't die PETER had to live.All the things he had done and he lived!!!

I think it was completely confusing and too complicated in the beginning and terrible at the end. I hated it. Divergent was my favorite.
I finished it today. It was amazing yet horrible and i cried so much at the end! Will i ever get over tris's death? The book was still amazing though
