Karatics My bookworm is hungry for an ADULT book series, so help my fellow bookworms I've been craving this for weeks!

Brandy The Hollows Series by Kim Harrison, Start with Dead Witch Walking. It is an amazing series That gets better with each book. Or Fever by Karen Marie Moning, it isn't a Witch series but it has Fae and supernatural features. Love both

Megan | 29 comments If you can tolerate/appreciate heavily flawed characters and some controversial subject matter, I recommend the Downside Ghosts series by Stacia Kane. It starts with Unholy Ghosts. Has ghosts, magic, and witches.

Patricia Hargraves | 94 comments A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness

If you haven't read this series it is excellent.

Tina (whitley97) | 77 comments The Jade Calhoun series by Deanna Chase was good, also loved the Discovery of Witches series (can't wait for the third), The Jolie Wilkins series was good too.

Maria Schneider (bearmountainbooks) Ilona Andrews has a witch book out now--HIGHLY recommend it. I reviewed it on my blog, but haven't ported the review here yet.

Clean Sweep In short-it's a very wacky and fun read!

W H Benjamin | 5 comments The Charmed series - spin off from the TV show is pretty good. An oldie but a goodie.

message 15: by April (new)

April (dwndrgn) | 1 comments You could try the Moon Shadow series by Maria Schneider, the first book is Under Witch Moon and there are three in the complete series - all already out. It is about an earth witch who ends up dealing with ghosts, shapeshifters, vampires and her new love interest who is a wind warlock. Good stuff.

N | 276 comments The Caster Chronicles are definitely not adult books, very YA.

Ladyhawk The Witching Hour (Lives of the Mayfair Witches, #1) by Anne Rice The Witching Hour-Anne Rice

Dark Witch (The Cousins O'Dwyer Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts . Dark Witch-Nora Roberts

And yes I also highly recommend A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness . Not your typical witch story...

message 18: by Shawna (new)

Shawna A Discovery of Witches was fantastic. I haven't read the second book, Shadow of Night, but heard that it's good too. The third book The Book of Life comes ou in July of this year I believe.

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Definitely go for the All Souls Trilogy, starting with A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness - it was very much worth the read and doesn't have the alomst mocking hocus-pocus-y feel of witches to it.

If you want to go for a slightly different take on witches, then I can recommend the Alex Craft series, starting with Grave Witch (Alex Craft, #1) by Kalayna Price .

message 20: by Shelby (new)

Shelby | 13 comments Craved is an adult series with witches but it also has other paranormal creatures in in.

Shifting Shadows (Sparks Collide, #1) by Amanda Kelly Something Witchy This Way Comes (Something Witchy, #1) by Veronica Blade are also great witchy books I've read.

Yesenia Maqueda (annechase) | 140 comments Try Witches of Bayport

Colleen | 293 comments I just finished A Discovery of Witches and would recommend if you like that genre. I thought the writing was good. I also read The Magicians and thought it was pretty good too. I may continue with the series if I come across the titles.

message 23: by Maggie (new)

Maggie Discovery of Witches or The Modern Witch series.

message 24: by Ladyhawk (new)

Ladyhawk The Witching Hour lives of the Mayfair Witches -Anne Rice The Witching Hour (Lives of the Mayfair Witches, #1) by Anne Rice

message 25: by Kendra (new)

Kendra | 2 comments Has anyone suggested the Witch Central series by Debora Geary? Its amazing and gives you the warm fuzzies when you read it. Start with A Modern Witch, which is the first book, and make sure you have tissues if you easily get happy tears.

Do you know who the author is? I loved that show and would like to check the books out.

I thought the books came first. But maybe I'm thinking of the wrong series. Is it this one?

I think that is the enchanted series, not the charmed one, but that is the one that came to mind. Let me look through my reviews. I haven't seen the tv show in question so I probably have the wrong series.

Albert | 9 comments I just started Dorothy Must Die from Danielle Paige, it is not your traditional witch series. It is a sequel to the Oz story where Dorothy returns to Oz, gets magic powers and turns evil. The prequel is called No Place Like Oz which I reviewed and recommend.
