SOLVED. Book about boy with Dragon Parents and starts having Dragon abilties [s]

It starts out with the boy being normal then begins to change subtly, like hot breath, scaly skin, sharp nails. Meets a girl that has dragon wings and sh keeps them tucked in a bag on her back to hide them. then finding out eventually that dragons became human to hide and have been living for thousands of years and one of his parents is a dragon. Now persons are hunting them.

Was this a series? When did you read it? Was there any humour to it?

Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace is the start of a series where the MC finds out that she's a dragon. She and her people do "hide out" by pretending to be just regular people. I've only read this first book, so no idea if something like that takes place later.

This sounds very much like "Raising Dragons" by Bryan Davis. It is part of the "Dragons in our Midst" series. The main protagonist has terrible dragon breath and he meets a girl who has wings she hides in a backpack.
