What is your criteria of a book in the Reading Challenge

I count anything that's over forty pages....novellas, graphic novels, stuff I read as a kid, anything. I am three books away from my goal of 365 (it was originally 100, but I kept having to bump it up since I read pretty fast). I did get competitive with it the last month or so and have been reading almost non-stop with very few breaks. I'd say the majority of what I read were my old Nancy Drew, RL Stine, and Christopher Pike books, which are 150-250 pages...but I had a lot of longer and shorter novels mixed in, as well as graphic novels....so I just counted whatever. I'm reading the hunger games series now, and then I'll be finally finished...and probably sleep for a month or two.
I count any book I've read cover to cover. Size shouldn't matter as long as you're reading something. I do limit it to books I've not read before out of preference. The shortest I've read was 35 pages.
As long as it's a book I count it. I don't think the length of it should matter. I've read 92 books this year(my goal was 75),I re-read 4 of the books, I counted the 2 novels but didn't count the 2 novellas.
@Chase brought up an interesting point. What if this is the second time you read the same book. Do you get credit for the first time you read it (1998) and credit in (2013)? I think I have read a review that made notes of multiple reads. It would be really cool if Goodreads gave us an option to categorize multiple readings of a book.
For me, every single book counts, even if it's a 20-page long kids' book I read for fun - also, theatre plays and novellas (but no instruction manuals and stuff like that :P). The only thing I don't count is rereads.
I count all of the books I read, except for the little kids books that I read to my three and five year olds. I do count the chapter books that I read to them however, since it takes us a few weeks to get through one of them since I only read as long as their attention span lasts.
I don't count children's books unless they are proper length like harry potter or percy jackson. I often steer clear of novellas unless they're written by an author I really respect.
If it's a book, I count it -- novella or not. I absolutely get competitive, and since I'm three books ahead of my current goal I'm thinking about adding another 10 to the finish line.
I was wondering:
1. Do you count all the books you read. For example, I just finished reading "The Best Christmas pageant Ever" It is probably on a 3rd grade reading level, about 110 pages. I read it back when I was in 3rd grade. But darn it I read those pages aloud, had discussions about the book, and took a week to read it. I think it should count....
2. What about novellas? Should they really count?
3. Do you ever catch yourself getting competitive with it in your mind? My goal this year was 60 and I am now at 74 books. I am almost catching myself reading easier books to get more books for the year. I think I can hit 90 if I read some light fluff.
