Discuss the book here!

The question to think about is:

What is true evil?

The sìthichean in the book are considered evil - and therefore ripe for the killing - because of their obsession with killing humans.

And yet a certain roguish gentleman whom our heroine becomes rather fond of, is also what one would term 'cold blooded' and has harmed his fair share of beings.

So what makes a person/being truly evil? Explain with reference to the book.

Feel free to extend the discussion beyond the questions and simply talk about the book as well :D

Olivia (olivia1395) | 1948 comments I agree with you that enjoying killing someone makes you evil. The sithichean are considered because they are very powerful fae who would have no qualms about destroying the world as long as they could go on eating/killing humans. Kiaran used to kill, yes, but now he hunts and kills the fae and plays a large role in the training of Aileana. I think the main difference between the sithichean that are trapped and Kiaran is the fact that Kiaran has shown that he can change and also that he can love. He loves his sister and we see hints that he may love Aileana. We are not given that sense of humanity from other sithichean.
