Lee | 939 comments Today I learned... not to get between two little old ladies and their smut books.

I went to the library with my grandmother this morning. First thing, another old lady tried to run past her in the parking lot. Then inside, they both were fighting over the same books - and by fighting I mean smiling and being overly polite - I was afraid a brawl was going to break out.

BTW - my grandmother would've totally won. ;)

Felina Today I learned that when you get to your breaking point you just have to blow things off, go to Village Inn, order something yummy and read your book by yourself for a few hours. Mmmm free pie and Brandon Sanderson.

*hug*

I know the feeling - when you don't have a permanent job you can't make plans for things that require long-term planning.

I have my fingers crossed that the perfect thing will pop up soon.

Well, you've earned that, damn it! Make sure you get lots of time by the beach with frosty drinks that require paper umbrellas.

Lee | 939 comments Today I learned not to read reviews for the book that I am currently reading... I just downloaded it from the library this morning and its kind of slow and boring so I was browsing thru reviews and I guess there's some kind of surprising twist at the end. And I know what the twist is because one reviewer was so very kind to put it in their review... and I was kind of enough to point it out to them (in a very polite way of course) but... really!!! Who does that??!

People do all the time. :(

I might read reviews before starting a book but I stop after that. I don't want other people's reviews to influence my perception and my review.
