Yes i liked Day way more. I enjoyed reading from his PoV more than ..."
I agree with your view on the ending, however, I personally enjoyed having June's PoV end the story. I don't think that Day's PoV would have added much depth, as it pretty much tells you that, other than his receiving treatment and his brother's education, not a lot happens.

and this is my favorite ending in comparing The Hunger Game, Divergent, Uglies... this is the best ending.

I LOVE June and Day together they are so cute but then when she just walked away form him ahhhh I was so upset but then in the e..."
I believe the correct words to use for the ending of this book would have to be, bittersweet.

June arrives home but as she opens the main door of her house, she is caught off guard by arms that wraps around her, she remains surprised because she didn't notice anyone following her while she walks to her house. "I'm sorry," Day says in a voice filled with happiness but pain at the same time, pain for making June wait for a really long time "Forgive me June, forgive me I kept you waiting." June bursts into tears, tears filled with happiness. She turns around and their gaze meets. The moment she saw the eyes of the man infront of her, she knew her Day was back. She hugs him tight and finally tells him she loves him, that she always wanted to say this to him in the hospital, 10 years ago.

I hated and loved the ending at the same time. Overall, the ending was perfect that should not have been any different. Theres nothing I hate more than a series ending with the characters all living happily ever after, everything works out in the end, everyone is peachy. NO. I hate that. This ending was a perfect way to end this book even if people did not really like it or agree with it. I just wish we got into Day's head one last time to find out what he was thinking.
The one thing That I did not like was when Day was lying on the ground dying, he was looking over June's shoulder at the stereotypical "orb of light" thing. Ugh. seriously I feel my gag reflex coming on. DAY, DON'T GO INTO THE LIGHT. Then he has a "chat" with his mother who is dead just COME ON don't ruin a perfectly good book PLEASE. Anyway, I choose to over look that because I was too unset about Day dying.

"You know, sometimes I wonder what things would be like if I just...met you one day. Like normal people do. If I jus walked by you on some street one sunny morning and thourght you were cute, stopped, shook your hand, and said, "Hi, I'm Daniel"
THIS BREAK MY HEART!

I thought when Day already lost half of his memories, the story will be end, but man, i loved it when i read "Hi I'm Day, Hi I'm June" part. It's like there's a new hope:D

The 10 year span isn't a random number, it serves as a catalyst to allow new events.
His memories come back during this time (as the doctors said it would) but he doesn't let anyone tell June this.
Several reasons for this:
- Day questioning himself about why June didn't confront him in the hospital after his awakening; if they knew eachother as well as described in the book then Day would understand that June realized she brings painful memories (flinching at her touch) to him so he needs time to heal and truly forgive her.
-This time span allows June to 'repent' for her guilt thus when Day does show up she will no longer have to run.
-To give June a chance to be with Anden or some high class guy as he has always felt unworthy of her. (It does irritate me that she gets with Anden, it feels like her 'pureness' is tainted when with anyone but Day...)
-Most importantly he is waiting for a chance as 'normal people' would meet and in the end that is what Marie Lu presented to us, a normal boy and girl.
Some may argue that his memory did NOT come back and I respect that but think about it. Day is smart enough to act as if he hasn't remembered but he was never good at lying, especially in front of June. June says she saw pieces of them in his eyes, a hint that he has possibly remembered everything.
This is just my version which I came up with after marathonning all three books and I post it to give closure to those that need an answered ending but, for those who have their own endings in mind feel free to ignore mine. I believe this was meant to, like all books, allow us to think of a perfect ending and story to fill the blanks which the author does not.

Hi, I have just finished reading Champion. My thoughts on the series was honestly so enjoyable. I loved the action, the romance and the drama. I love Day's and June's relationship with each other. The ending of this book, left me feeling so depressed. I agree with a lot of comments on here about why didn't any of the friends tell Day about June. But ultimately, the decision rested with June whether or not she wanted to tell him. I wanted her to tell him. I feel now that their relationship will never be the same again(I do know this is a fiction book not real life)and that what makes me feel sad. Does anyone feel like me about this?? Praise to Marie Lu on writing a fantastic series that makes you(me) feel a hell of a lot of emotions.

1). How could they have so many friends in common (Tess, Eden, Pascao, etc,) and they NOT mention June to Day? Like when they tell stories or talk abo..."
Yes, exactly! You wrote the very words in my mind.

I totally want that!

I didn't like June with Anden, so I'm glad she didn't stay with him.
I was surprised it ended that way, as I was sure Day wouldn't survive. But he did, and he's even better 10 years older.
Someone mentions movies; I didn't know movies were in the making! I think casting would be hard, as you can't please everyone! Personally, I am not familiar enough with today's young actors to cast June, Day, Tess, etc.
Then there's the evil Commander Jameson. What a *****.
Hmmmm......

I am looking forward to reading the further epilogue that Marie Lu is giving with preorder of her new book at the end of the year as it will apparently be the last chapter of Champion from Day's perspective.
I am convinced that sooner or later Day will have most of his memories about June coming back to him.
And in any case in my opinion this was an happy ending for them and I think they will be ok. I will miss them but they will be together and after all it is all about what we imagine to happen for them and as I said the ending leaves you with hope.

Totally agree with your comment, I feel exactly the same.
