Elizabeth | 4 comments I am trying to help out my father. When he was young, in the 60s, he read a book that was written in Arabic and that was translated roughly as the "25th Hour." He also believes that the book was written by someone who was named Constantin Giorgiou (or some such spelling). It was a "heavy" book about World War II.
At the end of the book the main character, who is Eastern European, comes home after being in a German prison camp and sees his wife with a baby; The baby is from a German soldier who raped his wife and the main character decides to accept his wife and her new baby.
He would love to find an English translation or French translation of the book and the real name of the author! Thanks so much for your help!
Best
EK

Elizabeth | 4 comments Oh my gosh! Thank you so much, he's thrilled!

I guess I'll have to check the book out as well, although it sounds a bit depressing for my taste.

Thanks again,
E
