My computer completely crashed this morning...and it's still not right. The font is the least of my worries right now, LOL.

You're perfect for the job as GR computer expert!
Possibly...I can check mt Email and sometimes find what I'm searching for on Google.Oh and I know tha EVERYTHING in Wikipedia has to be true.

I've gotten used to the new site, although I haven't played around with the different sections much. My back to reading celebration was immature, as work and preparing to go back to school myself has kept me busier than expected.
Even today as I start Christmas/Winter Break I will have to grade my students' Semester Exams.

Exactly!

Ugh. But you're still doing great things!

Thank you Mrs. J. :)
So. My husband told me he wants me to cancel his Audible membership. He says he feels its a bit of a waste since I have so many print books. He feels he should start reading those.Then... he said...
He wants to read my HARDBACK edition of Song of Susannah. O_O

Dude. There's NO WAY I will deal with that well.
LOL You are funny. See, you just need "For Reading" collections, so that when people want to read your books, you can let them have the ones that they can touch. ;) Well, be careful when you do buy one - I had to replace my MMPB edition of that book because there was a printing error and the last quarter of the book was a repeat of the previous quarter. I don't know if those are still out there, but just an FYI for when you buy it to check the end to make sure there actually is one. ;)

You are 100% right! I need a "for reading" copy of a lot of books. Most people aren't as careful with books as I am. Nor as crazy...
MrsJ, you would have freaked at my house recently. My two year old grandbaby innocently came into my office and was looking at my books. I like this, as he's showing an interest in reading already. Then he grabs one of my out of print Wild Cards paperbacks and runs out to the living room. I hear his mama get onto him for snatching my book and asking him to give it to her. Then I hear a distinct ripping sound and mama going "uh oh".
He'd torn the cover off.

I could actually feel the cover tearing as I read your comment. Ouch!

It's like...the gift and the curse.
Heh. They thought I was going to have a meltdown. But I just went in there and took the book back, tucked the cover into the pages and put it back on the shelf. It was a secondhand copy and not in perfect shape to begin with - the cover was already frayed a little.Though if anyone else in the house had done that to my book I would probably have lost my shit.

What Colleen said, lol.
I can see you losing it if anyone else did that. I'd feel the same way.
I bought Zach (my almost 2 year old nephew) a customized book for Christmas (The Little Boy Who Lost His Name) and he loved it... so much that he took to dragging it around to each person in the house and showing them the 'bobot', which resulted in the cover already being torn within 3 hours of him getting it. LOL They really should have made a hardcover version. But oh well. At least he liked it!

It was really cute though. The premise is that the little boy (or girl) loses their name, and they go on an adventure to find it, encountering lots of other people in need of some sort of help, and as the little boy helps them, they each contribute to his name. So, there's a zebra who can't figure out what to wear, and gives up his Z, then an alligator who gives his A, a chameleon, a hedgehog, an aardvark, a robot, and a yeti. You can choose different animals and different orders too, so like you might want the Aardvark first, then the alligator, or an angel instead of one of those.
So cute!

Don't know how you'll feel about this, at Walmart you can get some good completely clear shipping tape on a roll with a cutter. I've repaired a few paperback copies of books with the stuff. It's strong and completely see-through and wide enough to simply wrap the spine "longways".
It totally is. Here's the website: https://www.lostmy.name/And I have 3 single use coupon codes for 15% off if anyone is interested.
(I know I totally sound like a shill, but this is super cute and I'm happy to support these guys making these books.)

Becky, I would love one of those coupons if you wouldn't mind. I came across those books recently and thought the idea was adorable. Maybe now I can get for my two nieces as well as my daughter. They are all under the age of 4 so I think this will be a favourite for years to come

I would love a coupon please. My nephew is 3 and I think this would be perfect for him, especially since he has a long name.
Oooh! I just saw on an email from them that I have a referral link! If you use this link - you get 15% off automatically, no promo code required: http://goo.gl/a3vNQL
Plus, if 3 people use that link, I get a free book. :D

Great minds! ;-)
I just ordered one for Kale. He's going to love it. Thanks, Becky! And no, I'm not going to tear his cover off.

A cover for a cover. It's only fair.
For one, he'll probably tear it off before I get a chance. And two, I'm paying more for this book than the one he tore. So yeah, either way they're books I bought that are being torn.
I bought one for my nephew Maxime in Germany. I forgot that I forgot him for Christmas until I saw it! I'm a bad person, lol. In my defense, he's only 1.5 years old and I've never physically met him. So he tends to slip the mind :-)
Hi guys. Listen (or read if you prefer) my computer is "fritzed" and I'll probably have to take it and have someone "clean it out". It crashes periodically and loses everything in memory. I get it back up for basic running but it obviously has a virus or possibly some hardware problem, so if I vanish for a bit that's what's going on.I probably can't get it checked until after New Years.
