This is from that first ad I was talking about, btw:
I have no idea what they're supposed to be... all I see are Oreos.

We will all be diagnosed with clinical OCD.
Question about tracking books... I'm currenty reading A Midwinter Fantasy - but, really, I'm only planning on reading one of the stories in it. That story isn't listed singlely, so the only way I could add it would be to add the whole book... but I'm not sure I want to mark the book read, since I'm only reading part. (I do mark read DNFs, but this is a little different in my mind.)
Anyway -
I'm just seeking opinions on what others would do. Would you mark the book read to have it on your list, and just make a note that you only read the one story... or since it's just a short story/novella, would you not bother tracking it?
I'd do the first option - mark the whole book read and just list in my review space that I only read the one story.

Well, it's done. I've cut the cord. Cable is gone! (Still have the internet, so I can't say Comcast is gone.)Was gonna wait 'til the end of the month, but with the new bill coming out, I wanted to get it done
You know...not to overtly change the subject, nope your new life style works colleen...I had a sort of "realization" today.I mean we always joke about our to read lists and how long they are. But as I looked around at the (literal) stacks of books on my computer desk and shoved one out of the way to set down a glass of Coke (Coke Life half Stevia half cane sugar).
I'm not going to get through them...I just keep adding books and I have so many laying here with book marks in them.
I think an epiphany of my own mortality just swept over me.
Also an awareness of books I've been meaning to read (again literally) for years.
Oh well, not a bring down, just a moment.
Cool. :)I was actually expecting them to kick a fuss when I called to disconnect, but they were surprisingly chill about it.
Cable/satellite free since Dec. 2013@Mike, I think we all need a reality check every once in a while.

Hi, for those who are interested I said I'd post some pictures of my leather work. Here's the photo bucket address with some pictures on it. I plan to add a few more later.http://s1279.photobucket.com/user/the...
Colleen, congrats on pulling the plug. I'm still trying to work up to that.Mike, nice work! Do you sell them?
I do but only when people order them. Depending on the knife they can run more than some people expect. I plan to post some more of my larger sheaths tomorrow or the next day.I got around to doing this because a guy contacted me a while back about a sheath that he could clip on his molle gear.
Thinking about it. Frankly I'm putting off trying to figure out how and so on. I also have some wrist bands (one on order already) that I plan to post shots of.

So, I know this GR member who often likes to make pointed but passive-aggressive accusations about people's motives. She's often funny and likeable so I like her but she has this way of being horribly mean and pretending that she's not by not naming names but still making it obvious who she's talking about. She recently made some comment about "bloggers who get free books are professional reviewers" and I saw it and responded. It annoys me because she's making assumptions about people she doesn't even know.
She didn't respond to me but then goes and posts some passive-aggressive status update - which can only be about me or 1 other GR member...and she knows we're friends. She called me "contentious" so she "left it" but then the status update and following comments.
IDK. It really made me feel bad for a second. She's now calling names "freebie blogger" like it's ok to talk about people like that. IDK what to say - or if I should even bother.
But just sucks to have some one who you thought was a friend talk shit about you like that in that way. She KNOWS we're friends and I see her status updates. So, what's the point in doing that?
Totally out of the loop here MrsJ but I'd say just go on and leave it alone. I have a few trolls who follow me now and then (usually due to some disagreement on a non-fiction book). I "try" to remain civil and ignore as much as possible. Sometimes all i can do is completely ignore them.Hang in.

I have a "friend" on goodreads (not part of this group, LOL) that I'm almost positive intentionally recommends books to me that he/she knows I will not enjoy. Genres and authors I never read.Drives me insane.
Ahhh... Goodreads drama.
@MrsJ - I think I would have to agree with Mike, the trolls seem to just feed off of people responding to them...Sorry she made you feel bad though! You are worth 10 of her kind though :)

I know, right? Ugh.
LOL It does have a bluish tint, but I figured that was a camera/lighting thing and that it's meant to be white. Why do you ask, Ala?
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Yeah. That's MAYYYYYYBE a kind of silvery bluey whitish white. But that is definitely in no way black. That's tan or gold or light brown for sure.
That is not anywhere even close to what was on the site. It's not a bad dress, but if you're expecting a deep blue and black, and got that, I'd be irritated.
That last image? Those are really the same dress. MrsJ sees the original as black amd blue where we see gold/white.
