Don't be unreasonable Mike! We don't need an airport! A helipad would be enough I recon.

message 1055: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) A helipad would be quite enough. Airports require much more space... space which could be used for books rather than concrete.

Better still would be a teleportation cabinet.

Luke | 333 comments I'm in. I do request a room with walls made out of fish tanks though. Just cause I think that would be awesome.

message 1063: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) It would be awesome - but you have to keep them clean. I don't want the whole house smelling like gross fish water.

message 1064: by DoodlePanda (new)

DoodlePanda | 506 comments Oh and also - could the reading room have a huge fireplace? just cause its awesome reading in front of a fireplace :)

Luke | 333 comments Becky wrote: "It would be awesome - but you have to keep them clean. I don't want the whole house smelling like gross fish water."

Well of course Chris will need to employ a cleaning staff as well as cooks and butlers. We shouldn't be expected to take care of such a large house.

message 1066: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I hope you have a lot of land with trees, Chris. I have the Treehouse Master on speed dial. :D

message 1067: by DoodlePanda (new)

DoodlePanda | 506 comments Well that goes without saying. We will be too busy reading and enjoying the house to do any work!

message 1068: by DoodlePanda (new)

I think we need a fireplace in each bedroom at least and maybe a nice large one in the primary library. We should each have smaller libraries attached to each bedroom and then the primary library for the group collections.

Sounds like a good idea! Though as I normally just use my Kindle and so don't need much room for books I might redo my room into a gaming/cinema room. With fireplace.

I LOVE Treehouse Master!

It would be great! We can build a reading Treehouse in Chris' front backyard!

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments We have to make sure we have an extra large bedroom for the Grandbaby. It should be filled with half-empty bookcases (gotta give him room for his own collection).

He needs to hurry up, though. The grandbaby is already got a backlog to get through...

It's this show featuring a treehouse company that builds awesome treehouses: http://www.animalplanet.com/tv-shows/...

Totally awesome!

They build crazy adult treehouses all over the country. I recently saw one where it had electricity, running water, a steam shower, HVAC and sewage (toilets). What?!! That's crazy!

OH yeah, the Grandbaby.

Hmmm, might have to soundproof the rooms in case the baby gets fussy.

Mind. Blown!
Never mind the house, I'm staying in the treehouse!

message 1079: by Luke (new)

Luke | 333 comments Ok, new plan.

We need rooms on the exterior of the house. Each room will have a door that leads to a treehouse where we will house our personal libraries.

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Off topic from moving into Chris's new house... But I've been trying lose to some weight for a few weeks and am therefore trying to snack healthier... Healthy snacks are loud. I'm sitting here at my desk at work, eating an apple and slurping the juice so it doesn't run down my chin.. And I'm getting so many looks.

Stupid healthy food, candy bars are far less noisy.

But alas... I NEED to loose 5 pounds. I'd be fine with my weight any other time of the year, but I sort of bought a wedding dress, and then I gained 5 pounds of Thanksgiving and Christmas and Valentine's Day and Birthday dinners.... And now my dress doesn't zip over my chest. So I kinda gotta fix that! Plus maybe 2 or 3 more pounds in addition to that, just so I can have fun gaining it back on my honeymoon.

After the wedding.. All bets are off. I finally get to let myself go!!!!!!! WOO!!!!

.....

;)

I've been eating hummus and raw veggies.

Also loud. O_O With the added issue of taking forever to eat, lol.

I bought some Inner Peas from Trader Joes the other day. Pretty tasty.

I tried the their seaweed once.. Blech.

The very first bite is a little weird. But then its tasty. There's a hint of salt that makes it perfect.

But I'm also on a diet. IDK if I would like it without being on a diet.

message 1097: by Dawn, Dawnerys, Mother of Modding (new)

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments I'm doing Weight Watchers, so I can have as many fresh fruit and veggies as I want each day without counting the calories.

Feels silly to do weight watchers when I only have 5 pounds to lose, but it worked when I needed to lose baby weight, so I'm trying it again now. Just counting calories wasn't working. I wasn't gaining, but on a 1,000 calorie diet I was maintaining my weight pretty well. I just need to lose these damn 5 lbs by May (that's when I have my first dress fitting) and keep it off through July (shouldn't be a problem as long as I can lose it).

Willpower!!! I need more of it. I blame my fiance.. I actually like healthy foods. But he is picky (he only likes two vegetables) and all of his favorite foods are deep fried. So I buy my healthy stuff and he buys zebra cakes.. And of course if I want some dessert and I can choose between an apple and a zebra cake I'm going to go with the cake. I wish it just wasn't around!

Hmph! Men.

Joke's on him.. I'm just cooking what I want for dinner from now on and if he doesn't like it, tough. And I'm not giving him a chance to cook.. If he does, we'll end up with General Tso's chicken. Mmmm... Damn it, now I want Chinese. Just an egg roll or two???

I already have a gym! Built it when I bought my house last year.

I've been working out, but I'm such a wimp. I'm fine with cardio, but strength wise.. It's sad. Can't evem do a push up or pull up. And while cardio is great and all, it's not making an impact on my weight. I need to mix in strength.

Going to try to start a Zuzka Light series tonight.. We'll see. My hips are still achey from my last attempt at a strength based work out.
