The best was when I'd start dozing off in class and my notes started getting smaller and smaller and then there's just a line down the whole page...

I was in school (elementary) in the late '50s and early '60s. We had no AC and steam radiators. In warm weather the windows were open. We'd take a rubber band and wait for a fly to light on our desk. Then when the teacher turned his/her back we'd stretch the rubber band and try to kill the fly by flicking it.

My art teacher in highschool couldn't pay attention if she wasn't doodling. Each semester during college she'd end up with whole notebooks full of doodles.

There seriously needs to be a way to mark a book as read, but to prevent it from showing up in discussions about books. I'd love to see what people are talking about currently with books I have read, but there are way too many HP game threads for it to be of any use.

I think it would be great, if like with the Actors Guild, there was a one name - one person rule with authors - meaning there could be only one author named John Q. Public, not 20. This would be especially helpful for sites like this, where works are often, accidentally, being placed under the wrong profiles.

It was pretty cool. They didn't have any Malazan but the usual suspects had recognition: Gaiman and GRRM.

There was a sealed copy of the Ultimate Sandman and I thought of Colleen.
