Is it just me, or is dude enjoying his food all nekkid style?

Well, it is called Big Daddy Pizza... Hmmm... Maybe Grub Hub is working a side line.

He does have some come hither eyes going on for the delivery man.

Maple is going to be fourteen this year and I am not looking forward to losing her which is inevitable at some point.

If I may....
Speaking from personal experience Mike: If you know that he is at a point of no return, it is both more humane and (believe it or not) less stressful on you and your family if you go ahead and put him to rest.
You will know that he is no longer suffering and you will have the opportunity to say goodbye.
When my husband was a teen, he was adopted by a cat (well kitten) who managed to somehow crawl her way into the open window of his car, as he was visiting a friend. She had hidden herself in the back seat, and my husband didn't even know she was there until he heard the tiniest mew...she had him hooked.
We had to put her to sleep a few years ago. She was 18 years old and had been diagnosed with cancer, after we noticed a wound that would not heal. It broke our hearts at first, but we were able to grieve and accept her death. We still think of her and miss her. We had that sense of closure - if you understand what I mean.
Its never easy, of course, but at least Romy's passing won't come as a complete or sudden shock. My husband was able to hold Little Bit in his arms as she went to sleep, and I think that helped him a great deal.

I just got back from having Romey put to sleep. I've mourned some people less. He's been with me for 17 years, I miss him.

:'( I'm very sorry for your loss Mike.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Mike. I know how horrible it feels when that happens.
It's really heartbreaking. :(
*Hug*

Speaking as a lifelong cat owner I understand the pain and grief. A few years ago now we were in the same place. My cat that I had for 18 years got sick. She was more than a cat, much more than a pet, I grew up with her. My friend. Sister. It is one of the hardest choices to make and one of the hardest things to do.
And - yeah - I admit I like my cats more than most people I know…

Sorry for your loss Mike. Reading through the posts has tears in my eyes from memories of all the great pets that I've had (and had to put to sleep) - they're such a huge part of our lives and our familes. I can't imagine life without pets but it is so hard when that time comes.

Sorry. Don't mean to go on.

*hugs*
It's ok to loose it. You've suffered a recent loss. And Romney was a part of your family.
I had a poodle, Angel, about 15 years ago who I had to have put down. Sitting there with someone who trusts you beyond all measure - knowing how bad it hurts then and how much worse later...
I still cry every time I think of her and its ok. I loved her and she loved me.
You loved Romney and he loved you - emotions can't be cut off and on like a light switch. You have to give yourself time to heal.
I wish I could do something to make you feel a little better.
I'm over here crying now, too.
