Wow, that is one heck of a "shit show".Be careful with Comcast. They tend to give you a good price for signing up, but it only lasts any where between 6-12 months and then they jack up the price.

Hope its gone well for you! :)
Thanks guys. I don't think I'll get it and still got some work to do on the application but will see how it goes.
I'm surprise Dish Network gave such bad service (Direct TV on the other hand is rated worst customer service in the industry) - I've had Dish Network for 10 years and they've been wonderful. If that's the kind of service you get then you should cancel. But be wary of who you switch to - grass isn't always greener on the other side.
That's funny because I've heard and experienced the exact opposite. Guess it depends on where you are.. but I agree as far as being careful when it comes to choosing where to go next.I hear tell U-verse is good but very spendy.
As I stated earlier, we opted to go none of the above., thanks to Netflix, Hulu Plus and Red Box . Amazon Prime is a very last option.
I think I'm now a Patrick Rothfuss fan, even though I've never read one of his books!
Here's a link to the page for better viewing: Patrick Rothfuss reviews his own unreleased book…
I love Patrick Rothfuss. I follow him here and on FB. He's funny and I love that he uses his fame in such a positive way for his charity.

Oh it was a literal reference!! I thought it was an acronym of some kind. *blush*
I'm just so glad we're nerdy enough to know a Star Wars reference! I'd have to explain it to my boyfriend... I love him. *sigh*

I can't even wear my topsiders and I have to look into getting dress socks for women (where would I even start???).
#firstworldproblems
At Kohl's :PI wear dress socks with flats in the winter to keep my tootsies from freezing off. That's where I get mine.
My favorites have something to do with bamboo.. Like there is bamboo in them. I don't know. All I know is they are thin but somehow warm and soft... Love um.

1 pair have stiletto heels...and they need to be repaired (can't find anyone :(
1 pair are ankle length with a small heal. Needs to have the heel re-shod.
1 pair is perfectly ok. Except I can't find one. :(

I just ordered two new skirts and I'm super excited:Starry Night skirt:

Portal symbols custom order:

I'm extra excited about the Portal one 'cause I've been looking for a cute Portal skirt for ages, and all the ones I found that I liked were burdened by an over-abundance of pink!
And now I just have to wait a month or so to get 'em... o_O
Ooh. I like them both but that Starry Night skirt is really something.

I've been wanting the Starry Night one for awhile. It seems to be almost everyone's favorite work of art. ;)We have a large print of it in the den. I'd like to get an oil painting replica one of these days, but I;m leery of buying something like that online.
I got a Scream skirt for Xmas, too, which I like wearing to work since I get to quip that it's how they make me feel:
Speaking of Van Gogh, are you familiar with his Woods and Undergrowth series? I never was until we saw the exhibit they had at the museum a year or so back, but I really liked them.

Those and Rain were my favorite:

Thought I liked Irises, too:

Unfortunately, they didn't have Starry Night in the exhibit. I would've loved to have seen that in person.
*Snort*Irises is the only one I recognize. Not having Starry Night at a Van Gogh exhibit sounds very anti climatic. Did they have Sunflowers?

I'm pretty sure the museum that holds Starry Night just laughed and was like "Fuck you" if they asked them for Starry Night to be part of the tour.(Actually, I just looked it up, and it looks like Starry Night is in New York, but I think our paintings came from the museum in Amsterdam, so... )
And, yes, they did have sunflowers. They were not, however, signed to Amy Pond. We did see the church, though... that one was cool, too. And no monsters.
Are you suuuure it wasn't dedicated to Amy.. I mean Van Gogh was pretty smitten with her. Might have even given his other ear! :D
Those are so nice.I drew starry night in a perspective for class once. Did a halfway decent job, too. :)
So, at lunch one of the lunch crew mentioned that she was watching Miss Congeniality the other night, and I said that it was a cute movie, and I liked it more than I thought I would, but I didn't like the sequel.Ditto with Legally Blonde.
And I started saying how any movie where the sequel basically is a repeat of the first movie, where all of the character development from the first movie magically disappears, tend to annoy me.
And the original person said that that wasn't true, because some of the same actors were in the sequel... and I said, "I'm not talking about changing characters or having the same characters, I'm talking about ignoring character development" and the entire lunch crew (which, in fairness, was only 4 other people) look at me blankly until one says, "And what do you mean by that, exactly?"

I have talked before about how awesome my library is so I thought I would share this. Check out this awesome teddy bear sleepover they did recently. We went for story time and they read books about camping. Then the children all left a teddy bear there and the library posted pictures of the adventures they went on that night.http://www.flickr.com/photos/planolib...
