Aaron DeMott (yoda47) | 5 comments I get the message "An unexpected error occurred" whenever I click the button to upload an eBook.

Anyone else having this issue?

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) | 2400 comments Yoda, I would try again. I've gotten that message many times for trying to do other things, but if I try back, it usually eventually works. You getting the messages might not have anything specifically to do with uploading an ebook. Unless everybody gets this message every time and ebooks are not able to be uploaded?

Aaron DeMott (yoda47) | 5 comments I've tried it many times from 3 different computers and two different ISP's.

If anyone else wants to try, the file I'm trying to upload is from here: http://www.jedisaber.com/ebooks/books...

It's an eBook of "A Knight of the White Cross" by G.A Henty.

And I have tried uploading a few more eBooks for several other books in the public domain (Project Gutenberg being the original source of all of these eBooks) to see if it doesn't like just that book, but I get the same error for any of them.

And I can upload cover art just fine. (I'm assuming that the cover art and eBook uploads use the same upload script...)

Otis Chandler | 315 comments Hey Yoda,

Sorry about that - your file is a file type we don't accept, and instead of giving you a nice error message the page was bombing. We'll fix that asap. We accept files of type (txt/html/zip/pdf), so I converted your file to a zip file and uploaded it and it worked fine!

Aaron DeMott (yoda47) | 5 comments Well, that explains that.

Any chance of adding .epub upload support?

It's a new open zip/xhtml format by the International Digital Publishing Forum. More info at: http://www.idpf.org/

JSWolf | 649 comments The problem then becomes that it shows ZIP as the eBook format and that doesn't tell us what is in the ZIP file. So, we don't know if what's in the ZIP file is any good for us.

Also, it would be nice to know if ePub has been tested or made for mobile ePub like that on a Sony Reader.
