At the Library, we read a lot of books for December! Including but not limited to: "Holidays on Ice" by David Sedaris, "Cold Comfort Farm" by Stella Gibbons, and "The Righteous Mind: Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion" by Jonathan Haidt.

Jillian (jilliemae) | 35 comments For December, I read "The Shining Girls" by Lauren Beukes. It's about a serial killer in Chicago who can never be caught because he has the ability to time travel. If you live in Chicago or the surrounding areas, especially the Northshore suburbs, the book becomes more personal because you can imagine the sights and sounds, plus, the author describes Chicago in the 80s and 30s and describes the sights from a historical viewpoint. An interesting read with a very unique plot line!
