SOLVED: Fairys that live on the ceiling, human goes up there, missing items eg socks [s]

This book is about a girl that somehow gets shrunk and goes up to the ceiling with the fairys. It has something to do with missing items around the house and how things aren't where you left them. I seem to remember missing odd socks. I read this book when I was about 10-12 .

How long ago were you 10-12 Nicole? Did the book feel new or old then? Was it a children's picture book, a chapter book, a 'tweenies' book or a YA book?

Hi, Sorry i was 10 years old 17 years ago. I do not think it was new as I borrowed it from my school library and they didn't really have an up to date collection that I remember. I'd say it was probably tweenies. It wasn't a short story I can remember it being quiet thick but I'm sure the writing was quiet large. No pictures in the book. Maybe had the word upside down in title because upside down keeps coming back to me.
