I just finished 11/22/63 today. Wow! I loved that one. Lots of research went into it and the reader really feels for the characters. I'm very happy with Stephen King's master storytelling & glad I read the book. Got pretty emotional at several points :-)

I loved this book too. You got to know the main character, Jake Epping, and what he went thru and what he struggled with. It was very intense at the end of his journey and heartbreaking.

Christine | 798 comments Woohoo! I finished another book for this challenge. This one with a tree on the cover The Reef by Nora Roberts It was a nice read, plenty of descriptions of warm tropical breezes and days on the water. I see the spring challenge is up. I need to check it out. Thanks!

Danell (danellbookworm) | 700 comments Well as it turns out I read Odd Thomas (Odd Thomas, #1) by Dean Koontz which works for #4 in the challenge. Yes cutting it close as I have an hour and eight minutes before midnight. Not enough time to read a seventh book for the challenge!

message 213: by Christine (new)

Christine | 798 comments I am cutting it close too. I just finished the last task for my challenge, a book with flower in the title. The Language of Flowers I highly recommend this one.

Danell (danellbookworm) | 700 comments Christine, you and I were pushing it! Glad you enjoyed "The Language of Flowers". It is on my TBR, actually checked it out from the library but didn't get a chance to read it. Will have to.....eventually.

Christine-glad you enjoyed The Language of Flowers-i read it when it first came out and really enjoyed it too-loved how each flower had it's own special meaning.

message 216: by Christine (new)

Christine | 798 comments Rachel-I loved the meaning of the flowers too. I also loved that it was set in San Francisco and the wine country, some of my favorite places on the planet. The characters were interesting too. Victoria was definitely prickly. It also was an eye opener to the foster care system.
