Yes, the Book Thief is a great book with such a unique angle on storytelling with the choice of narrator. Have you seen the movie?

I've already read it as well, but am definitely seeing the movie. I saw Catching Fire last weekend and I think the movies in this case add to the books. Not sure about The Book Thief movie though. Regardless, it will be a date night for the hubby and me - it has to be well-done enough I would think.

I loved Book Thief! I read it when it first came into my library, but I have been considering rereading it before the movie comes out. I wonder how many other people do that?

Already read - but it is an amazing book that I would recommend to anyone and everyone - sure to become a classic and I think a good book for classroom reading. I hope to join in the discussion and need to go see the movie - a date with myself - I'll leave the kiddo and the hubby at home.

I remember reading this years ago and crying my eyes out! (Keep your Kleenex handy!) I'm debating about whether or not to re-read it. I think I'll wait until after the movie. I get too frustrated with filmmakers if a book's too fresh in my memory.

I remember watching a tv miniseries of James Clavell's Noble House and being infuriated that they left out an entire character!!!!

I just recently reread it since I had read it a few years ago and wanted to refresh memory of it before I see the movie . I loved the book just as much the second time . I'm planning on seeing the movie but I'm a little nervous since it didn't get glowing reviews .

The Book Thief is only $2.49 on Amazon for kindle. I picked up a copy yesterday without even checking here to see who the winner was! So I am very excited! I picked up 10 new books yesterday during Amazon's cyber Monday sale, so I will wait to read this until Jan :)
