Cam *tactile seeker* Jurgita, I've made it past the 70% drama.
It's horrifying but more than that, it leaves you so pissed, you'll feel like punching and kicking anything.

The more the better :). Can't wait to get there.

Cam *tactile seeker* Darling, 70% was nothing compared to 76%.
I think I could throw up any minute.

La-Lionne OMG you guys, I fell asleep while reading this book and left my kid without a dinner, watching tv. I only woke up when I heard him whispering 'good night' and felt him covering me with a blanket. I jumped up like a mad woman "OMG you have eat, you have to do your homework" and he was all " it's all done, relax, I ate to slices of cold pizza (the date of it is questionable, I don't remember us having any pizza!) and did my homework" WITHOUT ME NAGGING HIM :-).

Not only I'm a lousy reading buddy, I'm horrible horrible mother and I don't deserve my kid :-S :-D.

LOL, oh my God, what a little darling you have!
Let's hope the old pizza doesn't make him sick, poor boy.
That's what books do to us, they alienate us from the world. (Sometimes it is the most amazing sensation, sometimes not so much, especially when you forget your son. ;P)

La-Lionne Cam wrote: "La-Lionne wrote: "OMG you guys, I fell asleep while reading this book and left my kid without a dinner, watching tv. I only woke up when I heard him whispering 'good night' and felt him covering me..."

That he is.
God, don't remind me. I know, I'm awful :-/. He could have sat there and watched tv all night, but he went to bed half passed eight, willingly. It's too early for miracles, x-mass is three weeks away :-D.

Aww so sweet Jur You were tired and it's impossible for you to be a horrible mother, just look at your kids actions. :))

Enjoy the rest of the book girls, i have to go to sleep, i'm really tired, I look forward to read your reviews. <33

La-Lionne Mothers not suppose to get tired, they suppose to get shit done :-). He found me in bed with an iPad on my chest. When I asked him why he didn't wake me, he said I look tired and that I look cute when I sleep. That made me feel even worse :-S.

Aww, I agree with Ana Rita, you're raising an amazing son. :)
Don't worry about it, good mommies are allowed to be tired from time to time and let their children take care of them.
I bet your son was happy to look after you. :)

'Notte, Ana Rita.
I'm almost finished and although I have to write 3 reviews, you'll definitely read my thoughts about the book very soon.

Yeah, the worst part happens around 82% I think it is. Well actually for me the worst part (view spoiler) <----- It's scarred me for life! My stomach gets upset thinking about it.

message 124: by Tabitha (new)

Tabitha McGowan I really didn't anticipate that poor old Henry would create such controversy when I first conjured him!

Cam: I think that was rock bottom for all concerned; I couldn't take things lower without death being involved, but I wanted something final that meant that all bets were off. Does that make sense or just sound a little bit depraved?

Shannon The Co-Captain Here's Finn to me:

La-Lionne Cam, could you show the % with your spoilers :)? So I would know if it's safe to open them. I'm a little behind and I'm afraid to read them because I don't want to spoil the story for myself :).

I don't know. Sorry... I know everything I mentioned happens before 82%. That's the best I can do I'm afraid. I'm so sorry...

Let's just say that you don't have to open them until you reach 77%, ok?

Well the whole book got me worked up really. I seriously chewed the shit out of my fingers when I read this. It's the best thing I had since I don't smoke any more and I don't do drugs. lol

By the way, do you love Lilith? I think she's awesome! I was thinking of your son just a while ago when I found some cake left over from Thanksgiving. I thought well, hopefully it won't make me sick.

@Tabitha: but you did a great job. I'm probably going to write a very long review (and you have to excuse any mistake I'm going to make, since English is not my native language), so you can read my thoughts in a more organized way, but I really want you to know now that I liked it a lot.
It reminded me a bit of Erotica classics, a little bit of Tiffany Reisz, but mostly, it's very original and I appreciated it.

I do, she is fantastic. Very different heroine, a breath of fresh air. I was getting tired of reading stories with whiny little bitches, who seem like their lives only begin when they meet a guy, and then they cling to their thighs for the rest of the book. Lilith kicks ass :).

I don't really have an image of Finn in mind, but Alex looks pretty close to his description.

Thank you (I adore Tiffany Reisz, so that's a huge compliment!); your English is superb, and if you hadn't said, I wouldn't have known you weren't a native speaker; one of the most exciting things about releasing The Tied Man has been the opportunity to 'meet' some amazing people from every corner of the planet :D

EXACTLY! I agree and even though I see Finn as a victim he never had that annoying poor pitiful me attitude that seriously drives me insane. These are two of my favorite characters and Blaine is one of the best/worst characters ever too. Books like these ruin me for other books. I gotta get back to work! I stalk back later ;-)

I'm meeting Tiffany Reisz next month :-D Now if I could just meet YOU, KMM, Joey Hill and Colleen Hoover I wouldn't ask for anything for my birthday for the next...say 5 years.

He's such a cutie pie for sure! When Blain asks Lilith "What did you make of my Finn." she says "He's probably the most beautiful man I've ever seen."....well that's got Alex Pettyfer written all over it....'cause Brad Pitt's too old. lol

Thank you very much Tabitha, I can say the same about the authors I've had the opportunity to "meet" through Goodreads and books in general.
You're talented, I've read in your bio info that you've been writing professionally for twenty years and have worked as a playwright.
I can tell from the pace of the story, from your style: it's witty and the dialogues are perfect.
And I love everything Irish, even though I've never been there in my life. It's a fascination that won't ever fade, I wear a Claddagh ring with proud and I'm still waiting for the first Irish person to recognize it and start a conversation with me. :)
And I also liked a lot the British terms, I had to look for them specifically but it enriched my vocabulary without a doubt.

Aww, lucky you, Shannon!
I'd love to meet Tiffany Reisz too, someday.
She's never going to come to Italy, I'm afraid.
But Tabitha could, right? All you have to do, Tabitha, is to make sure you have your book translated into Italian. ;)

Cam *tactile seeker* I really like him as Finn.
