Blaine scares me. I'm not scared by paranormal type stuff and what people consider 'scary'.

Cam *tactile seeker* Yeah, I'm glad I'm doing this as a buddy read too, because I sense that at some point I'll just have to rant about everyone.

Also, the characters are amazingly defined, they're all (except for Blaine, of course) right and wrong, victims and offenders. Just like we all really are, in reality.

Lol nah I don't think it will end that way

At this point they are. We had some debate on those lines being blurred with a particular character. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I read this in March and then again in August. I'm glad you're enjoying the writing and the characters as much as I did. I can't wait for more from Tabitha.

I'm even more interested now, if that could be possible.
P.S. Let's be friends.

La-Lionne Holy cow. I have to read all night to catch up with you two :-). Is it still good?

welcome back Jur. It's really good

Shannon The Co-Captain La-Lionne wrote: "Holy cow. I have to read all night to catch up with you two :-). Is it still good?"

Of course it's good. It's my TOP read of the year and I'm a really picky bitch!

Cam *tactile seeker* La-Lionne wrote: "Holy cow. I have to read all night to catch up with you two :-). Is it still good?"

Better. I'm going to wait for you, Jurgita.

La-Lionne Ana Rita wrote: "welcome back Jur. It's really good"

Thanks. I couldn't wait to get back to this book. Now I'm gonna read til my eyeballs dry out and fall out of my eye sockets.

I don't know, honey (view spoiler)

That's okay, Cam, keep reading it. I see you're enjoying the book, don't pause on my account :).

I love your paranoia! I was the same way. I was afraid to turn the page half the time. Tabitha does a fantastic job of creating this sense of foreboding that pretty sticks around through entire book. This was me reading it...

No, really. I want to.
I'd feel lonely, if I were you and I'd love for my BR companions to wait for me too.

Ahahahah, I'm just like that right now.
I'm still more amused by Blaine sheer madness, malignity and immorality than scared, but I feel this sense of anguish and uncertainty slowly building up and I'm sure I'll need some kind of support very soon.

From what I've heard it will become even more sordid. I like the unpredictability of it though.

I'm really "enjoying" it but Finn's story is heartbreaking, I don't think I'll finish tonight but I'm trying to read as much as I can now because tomorrow I won't have much time to read.:(

Shannon The Co-Captain Lol. You kind of hate to use the word enjoy with this one. I totally get you though. It's not a light read and I wouldn't have loved it near as much without the humor. Ah Finn, I just want to hold him.

Cam *tactile seeker* Same here, Ana Rita.
I love it also because it's smart and so well written that it gets addictive.
I'm so happy Jurgita suggested we read this book, I wouldn't have found it otherwise and it'd have been a shame.

Aww, you are too good for me.
Heard that, Ana Rita ;-)? Yes, I'm still ribbing it in ;-P.
I'm at 31%. This book is fantastic. I don't know why I didn't read it earlier.

Finns story is heartbreaking :(. I'm scared to turn the page, in case that cunt will get bored and find a new way to entertain herself at his expense :-S.

LOL, come on, stop that.
Poor Ana Rita, she won't have much time to read it tomorrow.

You're almost there, Jurgita.
I'm at 40% and won't read any further tonight.
I feel like this is going to be one of the most amazing BR ever.

You are making me feel bad for holding you back from reading a book you like. :)
Ana Rita can take it, I'm sure of it :).

The writing is amazing, I'm loving it. That's how feelings and emotions should be written. I feel bad for future book I'll read. That's how it should be done :)!

Shannon The Co-Captain I've really pimped this book out to so many of my friends on here. You can ask Mo. She makes fun of me. I've bought several copies as gifts too. Honestly this book would be great if Tabitha were a raging bitch but she's actually very nice so it makes it all the better.

It's fine, really.
I like to rest and ponder about the book I'm reading anyway. It gives me the chance to imagine what will happen next and how I'm going to react.

I agree, this book is perfect.
I'm also a sucker for all the british/irish terms. (Especially the latter. I giggled like crazy when I read a "feckin'")
I must admit I tend to read American English books and am a bit ignorant with British English but that doesn't mean I don't love it.

La-Lionne I made it to 40 % last night. I'm very curious how it will end. From where I'm sitting, I don't see a happy ending for neither Finn nor Lili :-S.

Me too.
I can't imagine anything happy for them either, but who knows? When I checked Tabitha's author page I saw that she's writing a second book, so their happy ending is probably just postponed...?

Well, she wrote it's not a sequel, because this one doesn't end with a cliffhanger.
She just said she felt the need to write more about them both.
I think the ending of this one will be something like "we barely made it out of there".

Hmm. For some reason I think Finn will die. I just don't see any other way out for him at thus moment :(.

Cam *tactile seeker* I honestly have no idea, honey.
I didn't think this book was going to scare me, but then I saw Ana Rita's update of a few hours ago (she's at 70%) and apparently at that point we're going to lose it.
Now I'm terrified and at the same time very, very curious.

La-Lionne Cam wrote: "I honestly have no idea, honey.

Oh god, we better read up and see what was she talking about :-(.

Cam *tactile seeker* LOL, so much for being the toughest women around.
I'll probably ask you to virtually hold my hand next. ;P

Anyway, I'm going out for a couple of hours, you keep reading, I'll do the same while I'm on the bus/metro - anywhere.

We must reach the 70% mark when we're both online because I feel that we're going to rant and yell for a bit. (And need psychological support)

Hahahaha, yes.
I can't read right now either, have things to do, but will resume later today.

Cam *tactile seeker* 50%: random thoughts now that I've reached the first half of the book... (view spoiler)

Cam *tactile seeker* Not to mention (view spoiler)

La-Lionne I'm pissed! I can't believe Lilith sold herself to that cunt. I know she was blackmailed into it, but what got me all worked up was the fact that she thought Finn will get off easy because she showed up. She should have known better! Poor Finn :(. And that slap... Ugh :(.

message 89: by Cam *tactile seeker* (last edited Dec 02, 2013 04:58AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Cam *tactile seeker* I know, right? !
Have you read my little rant? What do you think of my fears now that we're both at the same part of the story?

La-Lionne Cam wrote: "I know, right? !

I really don't know what to think. I think Finn and Lilith is in a very hard predicament. I can see good outcome no matter how you spin it :-S. I don't know...

Cam *tactile seeker* If 70% drama is worse than the 53% one, they're probably going to end up dead.
I can't imagine anything more awful than what I'm currently reading, unless Coyle decides to hurt Lilith as well.

La-Lionne Seems that way :) :-S.
I have to put the book down for coupe of hours, Have some things to do. But I can't wait to get back to it. I saw that Ana Rita finished it already :).

Cam *tactile seeker* Ok. I'll keep reading for a while, we can check our reactions later.
And yes, Ana Rita finished it last night and gave it 4 stars, so maybe they're not going to die after all.

La-Lionne I'm curious to see why she gave it 4 stars, but I'm afraid to read it. She was loving the book a lot :-S.

Shannon The Co-Captain Hi ladies. Everyone hanging in there? Lol. I can't read the spoilers because I'm on my phone so I'll come back and look at them later.

LOL, for now, Shannon.
I've barely managed to survive the Roman-mythology-lovers sick idea of sex, but I'm still here, stronger than ever.
I've written a few ideas/fears about some of the secondary characters, when you are back, check on them and tell me what you think.

No, that wasn't what I thought :). I thought that there must've been something she didn't like, to take away one whole star :). I'm curious to read what it was.
I'm at 50% mark, and it's still sounds like a 5 star read to me, unless something changes. Like they get married or something :-).

message 99: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 02, 2013 06:19AM) (new)

LOL I gave it 4 stars because I really liked it, I follow the GR rating system literally, I really liked it but for me it wasn't an amazing read. I don't give 5 starts very often, I can't help to make comparisons and well a book really has to make an impression for me to rate it 5 stars.
