That was an excellent series! And very different in tone to her Nightrunner books, even though they're set in the same world at different times in it history.

Now I'm going to start The Sword of Shannara. I enjoyed The First King of Shannara more than I thought I would.

Hopefully you don't mind rereading Lord of the Rings again for the second time in a row.

I Love "Daughter of Smoke & Bone" and read other books of Laini Taylor also.
She has a way with her characters and I love the fantasy worlds she created in both her series.
I hope you also enjoy Daughter of smoke and bone as much as i did.
:)

I am almost finished with it.
Finally,I am going to start with 'Mistborn' series after ignoring it for years and waiting patiently for atleast 3 to 4 books of the series to come out.
Its better to read the entire series in continuation and I feel it was worth the wait.
:)

I haven't read Dracula in years. I need to read it again.
Well, I started reading a book that I just couldn't get into and after the spy book I lost my reading mojo. I've now started Academ's Fury which I'm enjoying although reading slowly as so tired.

I also read The Eye of God and Innocent Blood. I'm still unsure about Rollins' collaboration idea. I love his twisty plots but he's branched out into a supernatural horror-type genre and it just feels wrong. That may just be me as I'm accustomed to Rollins' being the only mainstream fiction writer I will read, but it just doesn't have the same intricacy and flow as his Sigma series, for example. Ya know??
And I'm now searching for a new book to read. I've already read the stuff chosen for this month. Read most of what I saw listed here. Time to dig!

I just finished and enjoyed Furies of Calderon. I'll probably start AF after in the new year.

Anyway, now I need something fun and light to balance it out. Think I'll start another Pratchett book Moving Pictures.

Sorry about that. I changed it.

I know you weren't asking me, but I just thought I would let you know that I really enjoyed Promise of Blood - I think it is a very good debut by an author who I think we can expect even more good things from.

Don't get excited his books and writing style does not change over time. All of his books follows similar formula of a quest. After all this time one would have thought that he would have changed with time, I guess some people never change.

I found his Word and Void series to be quite different, and very enjoyable. I heard he's trying to attach it to some of his other series, but I like them as they are.
I just finished a paranormal romance called The Key by Lois Carroll. An American social worker on holiday in England is the only one able or willing to see the ghost and do what it desperately needs to have done before it runs out of time. Not an earth-shakingly original plot but the writing and characters are what make the book a reread for me. I also like another of her books, Just a Memory. This is more of a romantic suspense novel.

I'm taking them as they go. I'm going to finish Swords then may or may not continue to the next. I'm waiting to see.

Now I'm switching genres with The Cuckoo's Calling

I enjoyed Cuckoos calling. Hope you do too. Not keen on Perdido though.

Elise please read on the series is one that grows. It has a fab ending.

I thought this was a great series too (planning on re-reading it and the follow up series this year), so hope you do give it another chance.
At the moment I'm finishing off The Belgariad and then am going to read The Golem and the Jinni.

The last thing I wanted to do was start another unfinished Trilogy/series .(Waiting on the next book on about 6 different series..)But I have heard so much good stuff about this book so Ive decide to see what all the Hoopla is about..And waiting for one more book to come out won't kill me..
