I'm reading The Bone Doll's Twin by Lynn Flewelling. I'm about a third of the way through it and love it so far!

I'm rereading The Way of Kings. I think 2,5 months before the sequel is out is perfect to remember the details and be ready to immerse myself in the new story. And, I'm enjoying it as much as the first time. :)

Finished my reread of the whole set of A Series of Unfortunate Events, now reading The Shadow Rising and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Official Movie Guide.
Finished my reread of LotR. I liked it even more my second time. Now to watch the movies again... Now I'm going to start The Sword of Shannara. I enjoyed The First King of Shannara more than I thought I would.

Hopefully you don't mind rereading Lord of the Rings again for the second time in a row.
I finished Warbreaker and started reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone after reading the high reviews of this book.. Hope it turns out good as they say..
Tara wrote: "I finished Warbreaker and started reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone after reading the high reviews of this book.. Hope it turns out good as they say.."I Love "Daughter of Smoke & Bone" and read other books of Laini Taylor also.
She has a way with her characters and I love the fantasy worlds she created in both her series.
I hope you also enjoy Daughter of smoke and bone as much as i did.
:)
I am currently reading "Red moon" by Benjamin Percy.I am almost finished with it.
Finally,I am going to start with 'Mistborn' series after ignoring it for years and waiting patiently for atleast 3 to 4 books of the series to come out.
Its better to read the entire series in continuation and I feel it was worth the wait.
:)
I am finishing up the Gentlemen Bastard series and I'm about half way through with The Republic of Thieves. Great book, great series!
Now I just started Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller series, and it seems quite well carved out so far, I think I will really enjoy reading it. Then, I am still working my way through Frankenstein, which so far I never had read, and this will probably be followed by Dracula. *The advantage of the eReader is that you don't have to pay for hardcopies, but just download that stuff from public domain... - love it!*
Frankenstein is one of my favorite books. I read it for the first time two years ago - from public domain yes - and was surprised by how different Shelley's Frankenstein is from Hollywood's. Although, I shouldn't be surprised.I haven't read Dracula in years. I need to read it again.
Well, I started reading a book that I just couldn't get into and after the spy book I lost my reading mojo. I've now started Academ's Fury which I'm enjoying although reading slowly as so tired.
I've read all of Kelly McCullough's Fallen Blade series which starts with: Broken Blade. It was fabulous fun. The exposition got a bit tiring but given the way McCullough has fashioned the magic system, without exposition, any new reader that starts with book 3 will be incredibly lost (deservedly, IMO - really, who starts a series in the middle? They deserve the pain). I also read The Eye of God and Innocent Blood. I'm still unsure about Rollins' collaboration idea. I love his twisty plots but he's branched out into a supernatural horror-type genre and it just feels wrong. That may just be me as I'm accustomed to Rollins' being the only mainstream fiction writer I will read, but it just doesn't have the same intricacy and flow as his Sigma series, for example. Ya know??
And I'm now searching for a new book to read. I've already read the stuff chosen for this month. Read most of what I saw listed here. Time to dig!
I finished Seven Sorcerers by John R. Fultz (third in a trilogy I highly recommend) and decided to close out the year with some Star Wars, beginning with Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories by John Jackson Miller.

Just finished Slaughterhouse-Five. Good, but left me feeling a little depressed. Which says a lot for the skill of the author.Anyway, now I need something fun and light to balance it out. Think I'll start another Pratchett book Moving Pictures.

Sorry about that. I changed it.

Sorry about that. I changed it.
I've started The Scorpio Races. It seems interesting so far, but I'm not a fan of the alternating first person.
Would love to know what you think of that one...on my TBR list."I know you weren't asking me, but I just thought I would let you know that I really enjoyed Promise of Blood - I think it is a very good debut by an author who I think we can expect even more good things from.
Finished Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories and now it's time (not without a little trepidation) for Revan by Drew Karpyshyn.
Started The Elfstones Of Shannara. I'm enjoying this series more than I thought I would. Don't know what took me so long to read it.
Nienna wrote: "Started The Elfstones Of Shannara. I'm enjoying this series more than I thought I would. Don't know what took me so long to read it."Don't get excited his books and writing style does not change over time. All of his books follows similar formula of a quest. After all this time one would have thought that he would have changed with time, I guess some people never change.
Kevin wrote: "After all this time one would have thought that he would have changed with time, I guess some people never change. "I found his Word and Void series to be quite different, and very enjoyable. I heard he's trying to attach it to some of his other series, but I like them as they are.
I just finished a paranormal romance called The Key by Lois Carroll. An American social worker on holiday in England is the only one able or willing to see the ghost and do what it desperately needs to have done before it runs out of time. Not an earth-shakingly original plot but the writing and characters are what make the book a reread for me. I also like another of her books, Just a Memory. This is more of a romantic suspense novel.

I'm taking them as they go. I'm going to finish Swords then may or may not continue to the next. I'm waiting to see.
Just picked up Bully Pulpit for Christmas. I've got a history degree so it's nice to read this, especially when you're not the one paying - $40 suggested retail for hardback!
The Bully Pulpit: Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, and the Golden Age of Journalism
I received for Christmas The Tales of Beedle the Bard, I'm just started it but I suddenly fall in love for the cover and the illustrations!
I started Kate Elliot's "crown of stars" series. The author obviously did extensive research for these novels. I found the books detailed like TOLKIENS which is not bad if you have the time. Characters and their situations are intriguing enough to keep me reading through to the end of Prince of Dogs.
I finished Perdido Street Station last night. I thought it was amazing, and looking forward to the discussion in February. Now I'm switching genres with The Cuckoo's Calling

I enjoyed Cuckoos calling. Hope you do too. Not keen on Perdido though.
Finished up The Elfstones of Shannara and now I'm reading The Wishsong of Shannara. I've enjoyed reading the series but I'm not sure I'm going to continue. I might. But I will be taking a break.
Finished The Golden Torc on my Kindle. Eh, I lost interest in this series, so I won't be continuing on. So, I'm reading a quick non-fiction before I choose my next ebook read.
Elise wrote: "Finished The Golden Torc on my Kindle. Eh, I lost interest in this series, so I won't be continuing on. So, I'm reading a quick non-fiction before I choose my next ebook read."Elise please read on the series is one that grows. It has a fab ending.
Bev wrote: "Elise wrote: "Finished The Golden Torc on my Kindle. Eh, I lost interest in this series, so I won't be continuing on. At the moment I'm finishing off The Belgariad and then am going to read The Golem and the Jinni.
Blood Song By Anthony Ryan The last thing I wanted to do was start another unfinished Trilogy/series .(Waiting on the next book on about 6 different series..)But I have heard so much good stuff about this book so Ive decide to see what all the Hoopla is about..And waiting for one more book to come out won't kill me..
