GENERAL GUIDELINES

With thousands of completed task posts to deal with in a challenge, keeping the readerboard updated is a time-consuming job. We try to do this in as accurate and timely a way as possible, and you can help this process by following these guidelines:

1. Include your current cumulative total (all your points). This should be entered manually, as tickers change, even in previous postings, when they are updated. Tickers can be fun, but they are not required - the moderators do not use the tickers for recording points.

Including the number of points in that particular post is also helpful to the moderators.

2. DO NOT INCLUDE THE ENTIRE TASK DESCRIPTION WITH EXAMPLES. This makes it very difficult to sort out which book you actually read.

3.Leave plenty of blank space in your post. You are not likely to run out of space in any normal completed task posting – so use blank spaces between lines freely! It makes it much easier to accurately record your completed tasks when lines are separated by blank space and it is less likely that a task or info about a task will be missed if it's set apart by blank lines.

Put a blank line between tasks.

4. Before posting, please re-read the task requirements and then re-read your post to make sure you've done everything the task requires and included all of the information required by the task.
* Check the first three posts in the help thread to make sure that the book you're posting has not been specifically disallowed by the task creator.
* If you have any question as to whether your book really fits the task, ask in the help thread.
* Check to make sure that you have listed the number of books required for the task – typically, 5, 10 and 20 point tasks require one book, 15 point tasks may require one or two books, 25 and 30 point tasks generally require two books, and the 50 point task generally requires 3 books.

Put a blank line between the book link and any other information for the task.

5. Suggested template:

Readerboard Name Avid Reader

This is a comfort read for me, because I know that I'll always enjoy her books and have a wonderful time reading them.

Task # 10.7 - City Lights

A Tale of Two Cities - plural form of "city" in title.

First published in 1859, so claiming a Golden Oldies ticket.
