I'm not really feeling this, WHY?

I enjoyed the first book! I really liked it, and anything to do with England in the 18th/19th century is perfect for me.

So why is this book just not doing it for me? I want to like it, but I feel like it's a chore to try and finish it?

I love the characters, I love the idea of time travelling (although it doesn't really make sense) and I really really really like the mystery behind everything.

So I'm not sure why I'm not really liking this book, I will finish it though! I can't say that I'll be reading the next one, which is a shame
