(view spoiler)[ EXACTLY!!! I just wanted to see more of Jandro, We knew Wren so I wanted to see kind of how she lived as well. :) It was a sweet book.

I have to admit though, I know the book was about her being a fan and writing a fanfic, but I hated (not really) the fanfiction parts. But let me tell you why, I didn't hate them, I just hated when we were reading it instead of her and Levi being together :D Took too much part from the story.

And last thing, I know that even the author wrote the Carry on, but I don't know, I can't see them as gay people. Especially when he asked about Agatha and he said, he'll never give up on her. I didn't see as a joke or a lie. (hide spoiler)]

I love her and Levi, they are so cute. But her and Nick are as well. He's kind of dropped out of the story for now though.

I love how she's finally given Levi a chance, I think his reasoning behind the kiss was true. And I adore how Reagan said that she will get jealous and want Levi's attention every now and then. She's such a great character.

Review: I LOVED THIS! I can't believe this book didn't even really interest me before now. It was just one of those books that I'd seen around but that I hadn't really wanted to read, but when my book club chose it as a BOM I just went for it. And I'm so happy I did, it was amazing!
Nick (view spoiler)[I honestly loved all of their story-writing together, but then he used her for his final project and honestly, why does he think that's okay? It's basically stealing, and he didn't even write the whole thing himself. He should have at least asked Cath before they started writing it. (hide spoiler)]
Levi (view spoiler)[I love how the romance wasn't insta-love, it was a slow build, and it was realistic, especially how nervous Cath was to be alone with him. Interesting how he can't retain information through reading, but I love the way Cath reads to him. (hide spoiler)]

Friendly heads up that this will probably be kinda long because I have a lot of Thoughts and Opinions about this book. Possible spoilers because I'm bad at remembering what happens when and what we learn at which point.

(view spoiler)[The Carry On that Rainbow Rowell publishes doesn't quite match up with Cath's Carry On in terms of exact plot points and quotes, though the name is definitely a nod to the fic in Fangirl (Carry On came out four years after Fangirl), and I think it's actually told in first-person POV (whereas Cath's excerpts are in third-person). I could be wrong though, I read it quite a while back. And SnowBaz is indeed acknowledged to be a Draco/Harry parallel. As with all books and ships, it works for some people and not so much for others ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cath is strongly implied to have social anxiety - there are several mentions throughout the book of the "crazy" that runs in her family, and she's used to having Wren doing most of the work of socializing in a way since before college they were always together. But I do love her friendship with Reagan! Opposites attract and all that 😜

(view spoiler)[If Carry On is anything like the excerpts in Fangirl, I have no interest in reading it. I skim past these, and don't find them interesting at all. I totally see the social anxiety, especially with the whole living off food bars because I didn't know where the dining hall is thing. And I was referring to Abel. I got to the part where Cath kind of breaks it down and mentions Wren's relationship with Jessy. But I guess this is one of those relationships you find out about over time.

I also found it interesting when she mentioned what it's like having all these followers depend on you. A lot of Booktubers have said Cath is like their spirit animal in a way. I've never thought how a comment like "omg I miss your posts" can be demanding of the influencer, especially since you have no idea what's going on in their personal lives.

Right now, I am not loving this. I'll get through a bigger chunk today and hopefully gets better. (hide spoiler)]

(My fics have been on hiatus, ie no updates, for literally years, and I still get these comments occasionally. Oof.)

With regards to who Cath ends up with, and her relationship with her mom ... All I'll say is you'll find out 😉🤐 I used to dream about having a co-writer; I did a few collaborative short stories with my best friends, but it's certainly not the same as weekly meetups with a cute guy haha. Between rushing her off the phone to the Muggsy's situation, and cutting her out of meeting their mom again, she's being ultra mean. I really am not liking that. And I'm surprised this is the kind of relationship they have for being twins. Also, still not enjoying the fanfic like at all. I don't understand what happens in that story nor do I care. (view spoiler)[Yup, Levi also surprised me the first time I read this book - I hadn't seen the love triangle coming, because I wasn't yet jaded enough to predict that every boy the MC comes into close contact with will become part of a love n-gon 😂 And I love that Reagan takes it in stride even though it's hard for her to be sharing his attention and affection!

Wren definitely frustrated me at this point; full speed ahead on poor life decisions, the classic (and unrealistic) College Experience^TM, ditching her twin sister to hang out with her new roommate ... Though I wouldn't say that she's really cutting Cath out of reuniting with their mom, because she's asked her to come and Cath repeatedly says no - if Wren wants a relationship with their mom, as she clearly does, Cath has established that she doesn't want any part in it. And as much as I love reading about twins who are in sync and get along well, I think it makes sense - they've spent 18 years being kind of variations on the same person, conjoined at the hip, obsessing over Simon Snow together, etc, but now they have to figure out how to be separate people. Which is hard for any pair of siblings, or best friends, and when you're both ... it gets messy. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I get the twins not being on the same page about a lot of things. But I think Wren is being too mean, especially since she knows about Cath's severe anxiety. Wren is doing her own thing, having her own college experience, and I think that's great. Wren is totally trying to be her own person ie getting a new roommate, living in a separate dorm, cutting her hair. I think all of that is normal. But I do feel like she's leaving Cath high and dry which isn't cool at all.

As far as the mom situation, it's sad. I hope Cath can come around and at least listen to what her mom has to say. She still holds so much anger and resentment towards her mom, and won't even give her a chance. Forgiveness can be very freeing. She has been writing a lot of fanfic, which I now see is her coping mechanism/her escape. I would like to see Cath say "goodbye" to this by the end of this book. I think that would be such a big step for her. (hide spoiler)]
