I am posting this message on all my buddies. I am really, really behind at the moment and don't know when I'll get started. I plan on reading this still but I have two ARC reviews due this week that I am yet to start and they kind of have priority. Plus I haven't been well lately. Hopefully I'll catch this up asap. Sorry again. :(

Had a little time in work this afternoon and finally started. I understand why people like this book, totally relatable.

End of chapter sixteen: (view spoiler)[ I'm at the part when Cath walks in on Levi kissing another girl! What a jerk. He can't like her THAT much if he's kissing random girls. She literally read an entire book to him and he was acting all cute with Cath less that 24 hours ago! (hide spoiler)]

I'm not enjoying the random Simon Snow extracts.. I find it a little pointless, at the moment anyway.

Ok so I'm about halfway through chapter four, (view spoiler)[ Simon Snow is such a rip off of Harry Potter which is hysterical, I was reading it on the train and I couldn't help but giggle out loud. There was a line where Cath described what she was wearing (Simon Snow t-shirt, jeans, green cardigan) and I looked down at my own outfit (Harry Potter t-shirt, jeans, black cardigan).....
So Cath is very relatable for me! I really like how Rainbow Rowell incorporates he snippets of the Simon Snow books, helps you understand the story Cath is obsessed with (hide spoiler)]

I'm on chapter five and I'm such in a slow pace because i find the first few chapters a bit boring and I think Cath is weird but I'm happy that (view spoiler)[it turns out that Reagan does not dislike her! She still offered to be Cath's friend but cath refused it. Ugh, why so stubborn?! (hide spoiler)]

I read 5 chapters yesterday and I just finished the 12th chapter.

So far so good but it still has a pretty steady pace.

Chapters 1-12: (view spoiler)[ I like Cath's personality. I like that she writes and with such incredible passion. It's funny that she made a gay fanfic because fanfic's usually are.
I'm disappointed nothing has happened with her mother or the boys in her life yet.
I don't really like Wren.. yeah she wants independence but she's crashing.
I want more conversations and less talking about doing things. Pick up the pace! (hide spoiler)]

I understand about wanting space to form your own identity and become your own person, but she can't ignore the fact that having a mother suddenly reappear in your life is a massive deal.. Of course she doesn't need to be as sheltered as Cath but she's overdoing it, I bet something will happen to her and she'll get injured or pass out somewhere. (hide spoiler)]
In general (view spoiler)[ I like Levi! Everyone needs a Levi in their life, someone who is just nice and there for you in your hour of need. I like how he defended Cath in the bar as well.
I feel for Cath, because living online and with fictional characters as how I personally deal with my issues and she seems to do the same. Between her father's mood swings, absent mother and a wedge being driven between her and her twin, its no wonder she needed a way to escape. I kind of hope she doesn't get with Levi and then magically doesn't need Simon Snow anymore. Boyfriends don't solve years of family conflict and drama, as well as having an attachment to a character who has always been there for you.

I'm sure something major will happen to Wren and Cath and they will both have a heart to heart. I have a feeling before that Wren's going to say something extremely hurtful to Cath.
I really like Levi too. It's rare to find someone so happy in life. I have a feeling that she's going to be with Levi or Nick. I hope the whole boyfriend scenario doesn't solve her problems or even most of them too. That's just sending a bad message to girls.

I've forgotten what chapter I am in but I am a couple of chapters in the second semester: (view spoiler)[The last chapters really got to me in a personal way. Kind of made me super sad and I don't want to be super sad reading this book! I hope everything works out with Levi. Ah, Nick... you suck. I wonder if Nick will turn up again? I feel like Cath is going to slap someone. I just don't know who yet. I really want a dramatic moment for her. I want her to meet her mother too. With her possibly getting back with Levi... He's a Junior isn't he? I hope in a year when he graduates they both stay together although I doubt the book will show us that.
I feel like with all of Cath's anxieties you really have to have felt that amount of anxiety or something like it to understand her. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished. I gave it five stars, but for me it was just one of those books. I didn't judge it on the plot or the style or the prose,for me the characters (particularly Cath) were so relatable that I felt as if someone had got inside my head and wrote down exactly what I am feeling. I would definitely love to read more Rainbow Rowell books in the future!

Chapter 11 (view spoiler)[So the whole problem with getting the F was kind of sad. I can relate to Cath. I've had fights with teachers over grades, but it usually ends in my getting a few extra points because I addressed the problem. It was nice seeing her dad again, though I can understand why she doesn't want to see her mom. Wren is turning into a little brat. xD Maybe it's just the fact that I can't deal with drunk people.
