That's how I have to do it! And then it's a mood thing. Am I in the mood for apocalyptic/dystopian, historical, sci-fi, mushy contemporary, etc.? Usually when one book is calling a bit louder, I may even just stick with it and finish it if I'm further along.
I finished it tonight!!! Wonderful, 5 star read, and it made me want to start on Dust right away! Sadly, I can't, I have too many other books to read!

More questions that need to be answered! Love how I can start to see things tying together now! Karen, you described it very well!

NIce!! I got a bit of reading time today on the bus into the city, 77% now! I'm totally into it :) (view spoiler)

Awesome! Agreed, I love seeing all the different perspectives! Ooh, I can't wait until you get to part 3, it was my favorite because of Solo and Shadow! You're almost done with part 2, it ends around 61%
ENJOY!!
ENJOY!!
I can't believe what he did after he found out! But yeah, that was pretty blind of him to not realize earlier.
Yup, we are left with more questions!! I was stunned by that ending! I need to get Dust and start reading, but I have to catch up on other reads first!
Ah I want to read Dust too, but my Kindle is so full I can't justify adding any other books yet :( I'll save it for next year, I suppose :)
Yup, big sigh, it will have to wait! LOL, you make it sound like ages away, next year is in less than two weeks!!

I'm still a bit confused about the explanation of what happened and why they chose to establish the silos, but man was it super dark. I liked how there was a lot of intrigue with what happened to Donald and (view spoiler)
I think you're right Jenny with more questions being spawned after this book, there's just a big air of mystery surrounding it. I was frustrated throughout the book when more questions kept on popping up and just weren't being answered.
The highlight of the omnibus was definitely Solo and Shadow, that overlaps a section in WOOL doesn't it? Been a while since I've read the book.

Overall I thought WOOL was better, more concise and tighter but enjoyed discovering more about the silos here. Honestly I thought some parts of it was boring and dragged, especially all the political stuff that my eyes started to glaze over.
I'm glad you got to read it and enjoyed it, Jeann! I do agree that Wool was maybe just a bit better than Shift, but I still loved Shift! The political stuff was a little dry, but I went with it because I knew it was going to be important and lead up to something! Hugh is just brilliant, so when I am reading his books, I've figured out to pay attention and take it all seriously!
LOL glad to get your thoughts Jeann! There were definitely a lot more questions than answers, although the picture is really starting to form and I can't wait to read the last book. Overall, the world he's created is absolutely scary and insanely dark, but I feel there's some hope at the same time--just the tiniest bit. Hoping it ends well. And I too was shocked about that part you mentioned!

Still created some intrigue for
