Jace came back with a needle.
"So...how are you going to do it?" Sierra asked."I think I should do it." Isabelle said.
"Ok," Jace handed it to her, trusting Isabelle to take care of his cousin.
Isabelle took the needle and forced her hands to stop shaking. She pierced the needle into the place on Chloe's neck where she was hurt.
Chloe felt the needle and screamed in her head, but not out loud. She twitched a bit though.

"That's good." Isabelke said, watching with a sickening feeling as slightly greenish blood seeped out of the wound.

Isabelle wiped away the blood and dumped the already burning napkin into the dustbin.
Chloe's eyes opened and she tried to sit up.
"Just...lie down." Sierra said, stepping forward. "You're all right."
Chloe leaned back, afraid of this girl she didn't know. What happened to me? She thought.

"It's okay." Isabelke said in relief. "It was just demon blood. You're fine Chloe." she could see that the girl was scared.
Chloe nodded, happy to see Isabelle, not mad at her, she knew her well. "What demon blood?"

Isabelke just smiledat him superiorly.Sierra just stared at tjis fight between siblings. She'd never had one before.

Alec chimed in, "I at least hope you learned to be a bit more responsible with weapons now, Max."
"Yeah, I have." Max nodded and looked at his shoes.
"Wait, if I got hit with demon blood, why didn't Max faint?" Chloe whispered

"His hand might not of touched the poisoned part of the blade," Miranda offered. "Or he could have been wearing something resistant that deflected the blood from his skin
Chloe nodded, and tried to get up again.
"Here," Alec said, offering his hand to Chloe. "Let me help you with that. It isn't wise to strain your physical abilities after such a traumatic event."
Chloe smiled. "Thanks, Alec." She grabbed his hand and was able to stand up.
"You'll be fine, now that the demon's blood is out." Iaabelle said looking at Alec.
"Just be a little careful next time." Isabelle said.
"That goes for the both of you," Alec said, turning from Chloe to Max. "Because next time we might not be able to fix the problem."Miranda looked from Max to Chloe before saying, "I just realized you two never had breakfast! You must be starving!"
Looking baffled, Alec said, "We're still on a serious matter here-"
"Well, are you guys hungry?" Miranda asked, cutting off Alec.
Alec glared at Miranda before turning away in annoyance.
Sierra looked at Alec, amused. It seemed pretty easy to tick him off. There was no effort involved to get him angry. Isabelle looked at Miranda and shook her head. "You can make them breakfast if you're so concerned." she said.
"I think it's right to be concerned considering Chloe was just in a minor coma," Miranda retorted in an agitated tone. "But what do you think, Chloe?"
She nodded, "Sure, Thanks Miranda." Her face light up into a grin.
Sierra and Isabelle involuntarily glanced at each other in exasperation but then looked away quickly. "Well, I've got to go train." Isabelle said.
"Me too." Jace said and walked out
Isabelle walked out with him. "Well why don't I hit you with a weapon covered in demon blood?" she said. "You don't care anyway, do you?"
"Alright then. Looks like it's just Sierra, Alec, and me helping get you two food!" Miranda said smiling.Alec suddenly turned around, "No it's not. I'm going to go train with the others." In an instant he was out of the door and going down the same hallway Jace and Isabelle had just exited.
"Okay," Miranda hesitantly said, her smile now a bit dimmer. "Looks like Alec won't be helping to get you food. But Sierra'll still help, right?" Miranda shot a pleading look to Sierra.
Sierra sighed. "Okay." she nodded, seeing Miranda's disappointment. "As long as Isabelle doesn't come back.""Hey, you're coming with us too?" Isabelle face brightened as she looked at Alec. she shook her head. "I didn't want to spend even a minute more with Sierra there
"Ya I care, but I told them not to touch anything, Know they know to do what they're told. They can learn, anyway she always gets what she wants." Jace replied.
Miranda's face brightened up a bit. "Really? Thanks!" She smiled and led the kids info the kitchen. "I think there's some pancakes left." She said, offering Chloe and Max the leftovers. "Or you could have something else, if you don't want these."Alec looked annoyed, "You're upset about Sierra?" He asked, his lips pursed. "That's odd. I find Miranda to be particularly insufferable."
Miranda waited for Chloe and Max to finish their pancakes. When they were done she bussed the dishes and threw away the leftovers before returning to the table. "So, what so you want to do now?" She asked Sierra, Chloe, and Max.
