I Declare... Reading War!

So, I've seen other group do this - typically under the name "Reading Sprint" - and I thought it would be fun to add that option here, but it our own little twist. Why not make a game of it?

A Reading War is basically when someone wants to read for a predetermined amount of time (generally ten to thirty minutes, but it can vary). They'll make a post here saying when they want to start and then will allow time for others to join in. Once everyone has joined who wants to, you start your reading war and whomever reads the most pages in the allotted amount of time is the winner!

When posting your time, be sure to allow a while for others the join in, at least fifteen minutes or so. So, if you wanted to start a Reading War at 6:00, be sure to post your interest at least by 5:45.

Also, be sure to check back after the war and see if you're victorious! ;) Feel free to share which books you'll be reading for the wars, too, and have fun!

I like it. I do a lot of reading sprints on other pages, and I must say...it motivates me a lot. Especially when I have more than one book that I need to be reading.

I am reading Gates of Rome, but the book size is a little smaller then other books...how big is your book?

Eh, normal size pages and print. About 350 pages. But everyone kept trying to call and talk to me during the war. Lol.
