Hi Rachael! After reading chapter one, numerous school works followed so I've been reading slow. I didn't bail on you but my updates are too few to even be posted for every few or so days. I'm still reading it, 58% so far.

Since I haven't finished, I don't know if I'm interested to read Five Ways to Fall. Do you know who is it about?

Chapter 3: (view spoiler)[ I want to know more about Penny and her and Cain's relationship and how she died. This Charlie is very intriguing, too. This is how Tucker puts mysteries into her stories. I hope it's climactic. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6: (view spoiler)[Cain's not leaving the club just because he has something to do. It has to do with Charlie and it has to do with Penny. I forgot if Penny was ever mentioned in the first two books but she's definitely of interest.

I wanna know more of Charlie's real and true background. Not the legitimate but also fake. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[Well... working with a drug dealer of a stepdad it's no surprise she's experienced all kinds of disrespect even just from dealers alone. Most specially in Sin City. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 20: (view spoiler)[What the.. What if the real owner of Charlie's identity is Penny???

Cont. That's a lot of money. But it's really sad that no one will worry about her. She'll still feel alone and trapped, even if she was free from Sam.

Chapter 21: (view spoiler)[Okay, I rarely curse in buddy reads but f*ck, I feel scared. It's almost like the climax and I'm just 51% into the story! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 24: (view spoiler)[As much as their foreplay and what was after was hot, I can't wrap my mind around the idea that her REAL AGE IS EIGHTEEN! Seriously? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 31: (view spoiler)[Once John investigates all the childhood pictures of 'Charlie', it will all go downhill from THAT. Cain is too smart for lies and deception. I feel hurt for him, too. We could all see how serious, protective and caring he's been for Charlie, even without knowing the truth about her past—and present. But he deserves to know! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 32: (view spoiler)[Damn it, Charlie! If you're going to escape from Sam's filthy business, then you're going to need help. And you're going to start by telling someone and it will be Cain! JUST TELL CAIN! EVEN I TRUST HIM ENOUGH! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 33: (view spoiler)[Damn. Just when I thought secrets are about to be smoothed over, here comes the beloved China destroying things. I knew she'll do something huge in the midst of all this! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 39: (view spoiler)[I love Cain's cleverness. I'm excited to read about how they will sort all this out. At least it lessened the burden Charlie wanted to confess and voice out. I'm kinda swooooning over him just for this reason. Ugh! (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 43: (view spoiler)[THERE IT IS!!! SHE'S REALLY JUST EIGHTEEN!!! If the real Charlie died four years ago, and assuming because of Sam's doing, what did she do that tipped him off? What is her connection to Sam? Or was she just some random stranger that he needed the identification? Logically speaking, using her ID was a timely move. She ran away, there are no traces of her existence, up until the flight to Miami, but that was fake Charlie's doing. It's too much of a convenience and coincidence, if she's just random, isn't it? Chapter 45: (view spoiler)[I can't believe it. Cain had Sam KILLED. That fast. That easy. And that convenient. Somehow, I can't wrap my mind around it and probably feel overwhelmed enough to believe it's true. And he didn't tell Dan he helped in it! Would Charlie be truly happy if she knew that? The man raised him after all. (hide spoiler)]

ENDING: (view spoiler)[Great book with more pressing issues, because it's related to crimes PLUS family and personal life. The ending was too quick resolve for me; too abrupt to end just like that. (hide spoiler)]

Lots of secrets, and Charlie does seem a lot more like 22 then 18, for sure!
