I come across quite a bit of publishing news, and I'm sure other writers on GR do also. Here's a place to post that kind of stuff.

And this is what inspired me to start this topic:

For those who love baseball, and also happen to be of the writing persuasion, some wacky but possibly useful news: Derek Jeter is starting a publishing imprint with Simon & Schuster. Apparently this is what he wants to do when he retires from the field.
