Chris | 1 comments Read this sci-fi series many years ago and can't find them anywhere.

The main theme is of a plague discovered on a colony planet that quickly spreads. The richer people in the series are able to live for hundreds of years by rejuvenation or growing clone bodies to transfer to. There is some kind of space kingdom that is separate from everyone else and they don't get the plague but also delay helping anyone else. If I remember rightly those affected by the plague turn into some kind of army. So far as I remember there aren't any alien species involved, but might be wrong on that one.

A lot happened throughout the series but the points above are all I can remember right now. If anyone can help I would be so grateful, really loved reading them before and don't know why I didn't keep them! Will add more details if I can remember them.

Here's a little more info:Publishers Weekly:
Generations in the future, when humanity has spread to other planets and Earth is ruled by Sanctity, a dour, coercive religion that looks to resurrection of the body by storing cell samples of its communicants, a plague is threatening to wipe out mankind. The only planet that seems to be spared is Grass, so-called because that is virtually all that grows there. It was settled by families of European nobility who live on vast estancias and indulge in the ancient sport of fox hunting--although the horses, hounds and foxes aren't what they what they appear to be. Rigo and Marjorie Westriding Yrarier and family are sent to Grass as ambassadors and unofficial investigators because the ruling families--the bons--have refused to allow scientists to authenticate the planet's immunity from the plague.

If not this, how many years ago did you read this book?
