Beth I will update this when I read these books. Probably The wind in the willows first, but not right away.

1. The wind in the willows
2. Paradise Lost - I really like the other epic poetry I've read (The Iliad, The Odyssey,
Beowulf) but I haven't had a chance to read this yet.
3. The Sagas of the Icelanders
4. The Canterbury Tales
5. The Oresteia

update 9/28/2015 - I liked the The Wind in the Willows, which I read last year. I listened to the audio version of The Oresteia, which I definitely recommend - it's almost as good as getting to watch a performance. (I've never had a chance to see a Greek play live, but I would like to.) I read Paradise Lost this summer, parts of it were tedious but there were some fascinating bits (I liked the war in Heaven). I still haven't read The Canterbury Tales or The Sagas of Icelanders but I would like to.

Debbie Zapata 1. The Further Adventures Of Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe....because I just learned about this sequel and I am now reading Robinson Crusoe.

2. Don Quixote in the original Spanish. This book has been sitting on my shelf intimidating me for a few years now. I've read it in English, but I know it will be slow work in the Spanish, even though I am not always as much of a deer in the headlights with the language as I used to be. =))

3. Therese Raquin by Emile Zola. I've never read Zola and the title of this one appealed to me so thought I would start with it.

4. The Horse-Stealers by Anton Chekhov. Have read only a story or two of his, I know he deserves more attention and this one seems a good choice.

5. The Ship Of Stars by Arthur Quiller-Couch. Because both the title and the author's name interest me.
