I changed my Twitter user name from PamBeason to PamelaBeason and I wanted to update my Goodreads author page, but Goodreads keeps telling me that PamelaBeason is taken. (It is, by me.) How can I get around this?

Pamela, we have two profiles for you: Pamela Beason and Pamela S. Beason. Do you deliberately publish under two distinct versions of your name (some authors do this to distinguish between books of different genres), or do you use both indistinguishably?
Oops, I see the confusion. I wrote my first books under Pamela S Beason and then dropped the S and changed to Pamela Beason. Now I exclusively use Pamela Beason, and my twitter name is PamelaBeason, too.
WILD was originally published under Pamela S Beason, then purchased by Berkley and republished under Pamela Beason as ENDANGERED. And ON SHAKY GROUND was originally published under Pamela S Beason and then republished as SHAKEN under Pamela Beason.Unfortunately, it took me a while (obviously) to get my author act together. Thank you for helping me straighten things out on Goodreads!
And for some reason, the German translations of ENDANGERED and BEAR BAIT (and next year, UNDERCURRENTS) appear with Pamela S. Beason as my author name, if that makes any difference. I don't know if foreign versions are tracked here in any way.
Banjomike wrote: "Are you also the author of the software books?"Yes. All those old software and technical writing books are mine, too, published under Pamela S. Beason and all out of print now.
So it seems like we need to keep both profiles. I moved the Twitter name to the profile you have claimed and under which you currently published.
