Okay I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me find this book but if you can that would be absolutely amazing! I read it a little under a year ago and not knowing the title is really bothering me. Anyways this is a young adult book about this girl who just wishes she had a better life. She always thinks of "what if" like what if her mom married someone different. What if their house was organized. In a way she's unhappy with her life. Until her dad who is a scientist/ inventor creates a device that she can program and be whoever she ants to be and whatever she wants to look like. In the morning she wakes up to be that person. She lives In a different state, looks different, different parents . After awhile she misses her old life so she tries to go back to the parallel universe. She has a nerdy guy help her. He has a past where his sister was in an accident and so on... Anyways he helps her get back to her old life, of course she falls in love with him and doesn't want to leave, but she does. The last things they said to each other was 143. Something her parents always said. I know this a horrible, but I just can't remember the book! Remember it's a young adult book. Okay thanks!

Sounds interesting. Please update the title to something more descriptive though so people have an idea what the book is about before they even click the link. You will catch more attention that way.

I was just about to create a post about looking for this book! Searched the topic "wakes up in a parallel universe" and thankfully found this thread because this is exactly what I was looking for! I remembered the cover had pink heart-shaped sunglasses on it. I would be very surprised if this isn't what the original poster was looking for in 2013. So glad I used the search tool instead of making an entirely new post. Thank you, Daphne!!
