sim I have ordered this book but I just wanted to ask all of you who've read it, how is it? How many stars would you give it?
I've ordered the whole trilogy so are all the books equally good?

Makayla All the books are amazing. Don't forget about the prequel The Kill Order. Definitely five stars in my opinion.

Very intense, and rather confusing. The author's intent (or so is implied judging by how the narrative is written) was to create a strange kind of atmosphere by not allowing the reader to really know what's going on, putting the reader in the shoes of the main character. I like how Dashner was attempting to take the plot in different directions and as a result try some things that haven't been done before, but for me it never really paid off. The character's aren't altogether thought out much, and it's easy to tell that the series' plot is about as deep as The Last of Us.* If you're into books such as Twilight, The Hunger Games, or The Host, than I have no doubt that you'll like this a lot. It certainly grabbed my interest until the end.

*The books and video games I have mentioned are not ones that I have read or played, but the plots of each one have been summed up for me.

I don't quite agree with your opinion of the characters. Each one that is important to the main character Thomas have very defined personalities and you can identify character growth throughout all the books.

☽Ƹɱɱɑ☾ It's a very different kind of book, very interesting. I'd give it 4-5 stars.

Perhaps the personalities are more defined as the series progresses, but I've only read The Maze Runner, not the books that came afterwards. The opinions I've expressed are for that particular narrative only. I might have been a little harsh when I stated that I didn't think the characters were thought out, but at least for that particular book the personalities felt a little lacking to me. The series itself seems more focused on drama than anything else.

I think the trilogy is good. I havent read the prequel yet. But if it tells you anything, It was good enough that I read the thrid book in less than twelve hours.

Tina J I didn't really like this series.
Although The Scorch Trials is BY FAR the best in the series.
The worst being The Kill Order (The prequel)

I think it might had a lot to do with the fact that everyone was so cryptic with Thomas in The Maze Runner, when there was no need to be. I just found it slightly irritating.

There are TONS of better series out there in my opinion!

Donald J. Bingle The Maze Runner was one of the best YA books I had read in a while.

Pratiksha You Have to read it; It's one of the best dystopian/ya series out there.
