Since we've slacked off on group reads, just thought i'd check in.

I'm reading Tiny Beautiful Things. I think it'd be great for this group since we seek so much advice from one another.

Parts are shocking and tough to swallow, but so is the truth a lot of the time!

Meagan (meaganandcheese) I'm always in the middle of a series so I never feel free to participate in group reads. :(

I'm reading the 5th book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series - Wolves of the Calla. It's a really interesting series, really just one long book. In very interested to see where it goes from here.

Ashley (sprtychick10) I gave up reading Uglies I just couldn't get interested in it. A lot of people said it was good but it did nothing for me.

I am reading Fallen and LOVING it. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Anna Studstill | 3 comments I just finished Warrior by Marie Brennan. It was really good. I am going to read the sequel Witch now.

message 5: by Christine (new)

Christine K I'm reading Ingenue by Jullian Larkin- 2nd in a 3 books series about flappers. It's YA, quick fun read.

I'm also reading Fireworks over Toccoa by Jeffery Stepakoff. Not too far into this one but so far so good. It's a war love story split between present day and the 40s. He worked w/ Dawson's Creek and Wonder Years as a writer so I'm hoping for good things.

Lindsay♫SingerOfStories♫ (lindsaysingerofstories) I'm in the middle of so many books right now. I just haven't had the focus to commit. I've been working on The Orchid House by Lucinda Riley , Clockwork Princess (The Infernal Devices, #3) by Cassandra Clare , The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley , The Shining (The Shining, #1) by Stephen King , and Easy Bake Coven (Easy Bake Coven, #1) by Liz Schulte . I did also finish a couple but nothing I really loved.

Meaghan (meaghan2293) I'm about to start Deadline by Sandra brown. She's one of my favorite authors!

message 8: by Natasha (new)

Natasha | 5 comments Reading The Goldfinch right now. Really good so far.

message 9: by Anna Studstill (new)

Anna Studstill | 3 comments I'm reading Dark Summit: The True Story of Everest's Most Controversial Season which is a non-fiction book about the 2006 mountain climbing season on Everest. If you liked Into Thin Air, I would recommend this book.

Lindsay♫SingerOfStories♫ (lindsaysingerofstories) Currently reading Prodigy (Legend, #2) by Marie Lu . I read the first book in the trilogy almost a year ago, liked it, but never got around to this one. Now I am and I forgot how much I enjoyed this story. Still haven't finished The Orchid House by Lucinda Riley (I was getting too emotionally wrapped up in this book, and its pretty long!) nor The Winter Sea (Slains, #1) by Susanna Kearsley (also long and I got rather bored with it), both of which I mentioned above, so I guess I'm still sort of working on those.

message 11: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (cjonthego) | 6 comments I'm currently re-reading The Queen's Rival. I recently finished Wild Hunt, and am currently waiting for Soul Hunt to arrive so I can finish the series. I don't want to interrupt a new book when that one gets here, so I resorted to an old one. :)

message 12: by Amy (new)

Amy (fireofautumn) Reading Under the Dome right now.

Trying to read 25 books in a year!

message 13: by Meagan (new)

Meagan (meaganandcheese) I'm now reading Bitter Blood, one of the Morganville vampires series. I don't love these books, but I am so deep in the series at this point I feel obligated to finish.

I' m also listening to Main Street by SInclair Lewis. Not loving it either.
