I live in Mississippi and the only places I've been are Lousianna, Alabamma, and D.C. Washington was way cool, but we didn't really get to go where I was wanting to. On top of that, I'm a southern girl. I didn't fit in too well. There were people stopping our group to say how "charming" our accent was.

Exactly. I may say a lot of the whole y'all and ain't stuff, but the movies totally exagerate it. I have a very tight grasp of the proper pronunciation of the English language. Even some of the teachers act like they are the ones in need of a dictionary when I get into it. (Granted, some people I know DO talk like the exagerated form of 'country' or 'southern'.)
