Carol Browne (carol_b) | 11 comments hi,
I'm confused as to how my ebook Dragon Magic can still be purchased at Kobo via Goodreads links. In itself, that would normally please me, but I don't now have it at Kobo.

I have put in a lot of hard work recently in getting it published on as many book sites as I could, but then I sadly had to unpublish it from all, including Kobo.
Like the fool I am, I forgot I was tied to Amazon's KDP Select until mid December!

I am so concerned that this could cause me a real problem with Amazon, that I have even made a comment on my new website
(http://www.carols-pastels.co.uk/books/)

has anyone any advice on why it is still online, and what I could do to rectify it?
thanks,
Carol

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments The "get a copy" buttons are automatically generated for every edition of every book based on the ISBN, ASIN, or title of that edition and a random rotation of partnered online booksellers (including Kobo). The existence of the button doesn't mean that the book is actually for sale; if you click on it, it will only then check if that edition is available at that location. These buttons show up on every book, including books never available from those booksellers.

Carol Browne (carol_b) | 11 comments I agree with, and understand, what you say Cait,
but my book IS for sale at Kobo, even though my distributor delisted it.

it is likely then that the problem is of Kobo's making, so I will contact them about it.

Juli (juli_d_revezzo) | 21 comments I have a similar question. My book House of Cards, Reign of Tarot is linked via the title to Amazon. Unfortunately, that link sends the curious browser to a generic page on Amazon that pulls up all manner of stuff from DVDs of television shows, jewelry, jump drives and more. In fact, if you click through all 20 pages Amazon displays, you'll not find my title at all. More disturbingly, you will find some things that might be construed as pornography--which doesn't have anything to do with my book in the slightest. Is there some way you can direct that link to go to the direct Amazon buy page instead of "Search all by Title"?

Monique (kadiya) | 1097 comments Juli,

Generally that link works through the ISBN or ASIN field. Since that edition has neither listed, it does not link directly to the buy page. If you look at the other edition of that work here, you will see that it links correctly to the Amazon buy page.
