The Devil of Nanking by Mo Hayder. It is dark and twisted, strange story too.

Weirdest would have to be one I just read - Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. It's about incest...and gah! The author created something so beautiful out of something so gross. That's why it's weird.
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut, oh and Lord Of The Flies by William Golding. All great books but a bit messed up and weird subject matter.
Murakami Haruki is certainly one of the strangest authors I've read although he is without doubt one of my favourites. I do feel strange recommending him to anyone as I worry what they think of me when the realise what I've been reading!!
The Burn JournalsThe whole time I had the squinty eyebrow look on my face...It really happened to someone but I am not sure I knew that until towards the end. It was a weird book...weird.
